That was pretty close to going down the drain (If the TD Had counted and Ravens miss the extra point attempt) or at least even OT, but a dramatic end to the match with Touchdown being ruled out at the final second with player toe on the line and out of bounds, what a kick off this was!

That was an incredibly exciting ending to that game.  For a second there I thought I would lose my bet and the pool prediction when it was looking like the Ravens were going for two.  But nope!

Yeah, Harbaugh was definitely calling for two after Likely's catch, and i kind of agree with his decision...you don't want to mess with the Chiefs in OT.

But for those who couldn't watch the game, here's how close it was, barely stepping out of bounds. And Lamar had just missed Zay Flowers on the previous throw. A tough way to lose.

Not only that, I think Harbaugh was rushing to get the two-point play off in an attempt to beat any challenges to the touchdown call.  The review came from the booth, but I have a feeling Reid would have thrown the challenge flag if the Ravens offense had started to line up.  It looked pretty close when watching it live, but I thought it was TD at first.  A game of inches!

Yeah no need for Reid to challenge there, it's a scoring play and inside the two-minute warning, it was always going to be reviewed upstairs.

LOL 1 inch from possibly being tied for last like me. Last night's game was a pretty good start to the NFL season, if all the games this season can be like that it's gonna be a close season for us all. Noone is going to be a runaway favorite.

Well, my first bet of the NFL season went down the drain but at least my first pick was on the favourite, did read a couple of headlines from the game but understood nothing of course It does seem like we have offside, and NFL has out of bounds, haha. Fine margins, gentlemen, fine margins.

I was too busy to watch the whole game last night, caught snippets of it here and there.  I new it would be a higher scoring game, but I didn't expect a defensive shitshow.  Lost my bet because of it.  I should have taken the over.



Well, here we go, the first two games are down and 8 of us are tied at #1.  Tomorrow's early slot has 8 games in it, we're sure to start seeing more separation among the participants.

That's nothing to be discouraged about.  It is indeed a long season, only two of 272 regular season predictions have gone against you so far.  There's plenty of opportunities to make it up.  Not to mention, you're in good company.

I'm seeing a lot of difficult predictions for tomorrow's games.  Some really large spreads, which can be misleading.  Especially this early in the season where there a lot of unknowns.  New teammates, new coaches, new offensive and defensive coordinators.  And even the teams that are largely unchanged from last year implement new schemes, lineups, offensive plays, and defensive reads.  They're always trying to one-up the other guys with new looks and trickery.

Many of the predictions will become easier about a quarter or a third of the way through the season, but there will always be some really close matchups.  And one just never knows what's going to happen; a bottom of the barrel team gets overlooked by an elite team, and makes them pay for it.  That's why they play the games, and as the saying goes; "on any given Sunday..."

Decided to take max advantage of the promo on tonight's game (or tomorrow early morning if we're talking Europe) by punting on the strong favourite. Instinct has me gunning for the value odds all the time, but the 50% back promo just makes this the better value bet.

Long season indeed, and it does seem like the favourites are starting strong. I'll be hoping it's the end of the line for them this round though, so far majority of my picks on the remaining matches are on the + spread (is that the right way to say it?). As OP says, and for me, some of the spreads look highly suspect...

I only earned nine points this week and it's better than I expected after picking every favorite. 

A good chunk of the group fell for the Bengals including myself, I never thought they'd crumble at home against the Patriots.
