Just as the topic states, It just came to my notice that most people jump from one business to another every year as result of one problem or the other. And most of the problem may not be from the environment of the business, but it Could be as a result of not improving in mindset and attitude. Now my question is that among this two listed below, which one should be more considered in making progress in such situation?
1) change of mindset
2) change of environment

Apart from this two, which other factors can be needed to improve or succeed? Feel free to contribute.

Both the change of mindset and change of environment are all okay but I think there shouldn't be any need to include the change of mindset since environment is already there and before having a feeling that you need to have your business relocated to more busy area were you could be patronized by a lot of people, is the mindset that has giving you the idea because if mindset is not there you wouldn't think of other alternative environment, however the only thing I will add to it is that the person should no the busses very well if not even after changing environment they will still face the decline of the previous environment.

Change of environment is favorable to a start up, that's working on a deadline. As for an existing business that's run for years in an environment it's wrong to switch. For instance, a beer dealer in a local village once ran back to his previous shop after leaving to the city and made nothing compared to his income in the village. Business demands consistency in all forms, hence, building up with your customers helps scale up growth.

Building a business would take skills, experience and years of handling it to sustain and survive their business. If they will let other people manage it, it can easily crumble. This is why when you are just starting, better be you are on that phase. Failure is imminent if you will let other people manage your business in the early phase of its operations. Also, even if your business is already established, don't fully rely on others running your business, it is always good to know what's happening in the big picture as you can guide them what to do if they need to redirect the path.

I believe that market research is the most important factor for business success, assuming that the person has self-preparations to deal with a changing market. The first step that successful companies take before developing a marketing plan is to study the market, identify the needs and know whether the company is able to develop products and services that satisfy these needs. The company requires conducting research, and this research will not be on one element of the market, as the result of researching this element only may be misleading. Market research helps you understand the market and understand the areas of danger and threat that you must prepare for or avoid. This information, when you know it in advance before entering the market, saves you mistakes and losses that you can do without.

By the way, this does not conflict with the marketing thought that develops people's needs, while developing products for these new needs. In fact, they will not be new needs, but rather advanced needs.
This is the hardest part because research and getting ready for a business even before you start is a tough thing. Because, this will be a great thing if you can win even before you start so that has to be the key figure there. I know that we can't make all that profit easily since it is going to take a while for any business to make a profit at all, this has to be something that gets much bigger, and as long as we can get ready then the amount of time it would take would make quicker and when that happens so we have to be the key thing to achieve.

You are the ones will really be able to answer it out because it might not be only one but rather the two things on which you would really be needing up to adjust if ever you do still continue to suffer on the same problems all over again. Success in business isnt something that you can be able to make it sure that it will happen on which there would really be tons of factors that do affect business success or any investment on which if we do pertain about having some conflicts into various things that do involves about having that wrong mindset or in correlated to this, then it will be normal that you will be needing up to change the way you do think. One of the prerequisites for achieving business success is to understand yourself. That is to determine what your interests education experience and skills are as well as the great quality of patience. After this comes the selection of products or services.

Now let's talk about changing the field of business. Those who change their field of business almost constantly or every two or three years never achieve ultimate success. Because they want to reach the ultimate peak of success all of a sudden. And nothing comes to people all of a sudden. And what comes to people suddenly never comes in a regular way. So being patient and remaining steadfast in your goals is also one of the prerequisites for business success.
In regards to this your statement, how about this image I come across which say sometime you need to change direction, patient is not always an optimal way?

This mean that sometime you might be patient in a wrong direction. So just ike you said in the first paragraph that "One of the prerequisites for achieving business success is to understand yourself" I agree with you on that and this includes checking out the environment if it's favorable or not, because no matter how you are patient and the skill you applied in the wrong direction, you might still not succeed.

Before now, I learned that, there are two kinds of people that can go into business, the first person is just a common man or woman who wants to become a "business man/woman" By starting a business whom they think that people are making profit off it and the second kind of person is the "real entrepreneur" Who think first, conducts a survey if possible before he goes ahead to start a business.

A business can be successful depending on who is running the business. If there's one fact to consider in a successful business, then I think the manager or CEO of the  business should be considered. (I will give an example).

In my city, there's this hotel, right from when I was growing up, it was one of the latest in the city but at some point, people stopped hearing about the hotel for some numbers of years until after some years passed by, before the hotel was revived and start to overtake other hotels too. So, what happened was that during the early years that the hotel was so lively, it was being managed by a particular manager but after the manager was changed, the business collapsed and now that it's back to live again, it's a new manager that it handling it.

Best way to succeed In business, first, you need to be the best manager of your business if you are running it on your own. As a best manager, you will always seek for the best and work towards archiving the best. Secondly, you need to have that entrepreneurial knowledge, don't just be a common or an ordinary business man/woman.

even if you are going to change your environment or remain in it, your mindset is still very important and actually helps you navigate through the different phases your business might likely go through. while these two factors are necessary, these alone does not make for a successfully business. as a business owner most especially one that is a start-up, you need to be 100% involved in your business so you can easily spot the challenges your business is facing and figure out ways of solving them.

if due to the challenge your business is having the next thing that comes to mind is to immediately change location, then you are not even ready to do business for the long term because there is no place you can situate your business where you would not face some sort of limitations or challenges. even before starting your business, you have to spot out some potential challenge that you might face in your location and when they eventually come and you even face other challenges outside of what you have already outlined, staying tight to fix it will always do more good than running away from it into another that you don't even know what will eventually be of that.

a business owner is a resilient person that strives in an environment people easily run away from, if you can't build yourself to that extent then you won't grow above running petty businesses.

Mindset is of course very important in business. In every business, big or small, no plan will work if it is not well thought out. No business can be established in a hurry, in this case a lot of study is required and the subject called business study is taught in various institutions to start a proper business. Business studies must give you a lot of knowledge about time study, proper planning and management and apart from that if you want to start a business without a plan then you will never be able to sustain that business.

Both the change of mindset and change of environment are all okay but I think there shouldn't be any need to include the change of mindset since environment is already there and before having a feeling that you need to have your business relocated to more busy area were you could be patronized by a lot of people, is the mindset that has giving you the idea because if mindset is not there you wouldn't think of other alternative environment, however the only thing I will add to it is that the person should no the busses very well if not even after changing environment they will still face the decline of the previous environment.

I'm pretty sure that was the reason why he mentioned change of mindset before mentioning change of environment in that order. But when you do not change your mindset, your ability to change your environment will not occur. Let me take an example with myself. Right now, I live in a different city from where I was born and brought up.

At a point I had to take that decision of leaving my parent's abode to move to a different city but this time around an environment where I believe I will meet opportunities to assist the growth of my business. In making this kind of uncomfortable decision, I had to work on my mindset and identify the fact that remaining in my comfort zone only stifle my growth and continues messing with my mentality, whereas moving into the new environment, did affected my comfort but gave me more push to work hard and work towards building a stronger business.

I am not an economist nor do I have much experience on business but I think a person must have a big and specific goal and move towards it and never change the business model or style frequently.  One should try only one or two businesses until he succeeds. If one keeps changing his business again and again then he will not be successful in any of his business.

But to run a business you must constantly develop new strategies that will always keep you ahead of other alternative competitors only then you can be successful in business.  In the competitive world there are always new demands and new inventions coming in the market due to which a businessman always needs to upgrade himself.

Business demands consistency in all forms, hence, building up with your customers helps scale up growth.

Building a business would take skills, experience and years of handling it to sustain and survive their business. If they will let other people manage it, it can easily crumble.

When it comes to building up a successful business or investment you can't just use a particular philosophy, the two things you have written down are all important when it comes to building a successful business, when you develop a very good mindset and you later notice that you need to change environment do it, some people use one of those things you mentioned and forget the other and that is one reason they fail, if for example you are building a water factory you need an environment where water is not much in other to make sells and succeed, if you are in a place where water is not much and you are not succeeding you don't have to change environment you need to change your mind set and look for a way to succeed in that environment from my above example you will see that you don't just need a single philosophy to succeed.

One other thing that is very important when it comes to building a successful business is patience and consistency some set of people don't usually have patient and are never consistent you see them jumping from one business to the other, when you start up a business you need to be patient and consistent there's no business without challenges but if you are patient and consistent you will overcome those challenges and become an expert in that particular business and that will be the starting point of your success.

You don't need to set goals that are too big for you, set goals that are within your capabilities and conquer each milestone one by one. In business, everything needs to be conquered step by step, we should not be ambitious that one step can achieve success.

Changing your business model or style is a good idea if your business is outdated and no longer profitable. But if we keep changing models and styles, it shows that we don't have a specific plan for our business and that only leads to early bankruptcy.


But to run a business you must constantly develop new strategies that will always keep you ahead of other alternative competitors only then you can be successful in business.  In the competitive world there are always new demands and new inventions coming in the market due to which a businessman always needs to upgrade himself.

Overall, ensuring the survival and success of a business is extremely complex, not just based on 1 or 2 factors that we are mentioning. Therefore, anyone who wants to start a business must always prepare full knowledge about that field first and time will give us more experience. Business is a process and requires huge trade-offs, it is not as easy as we think.
