Just as the topic states, It just came to my notice that most people jump from one business to another every year as result of one problem or the other. And most of the problem may not be from the environment of the business, but it Could be as a result of not improving in mindset and attitude. Now my question is that among this two listed below, which one should be more considered in making progress in such situation?

All of the above.. but the most needed to succeed in a business is visibility study, you must consults those who are there before you to know how the business is being run and managed. You can't jumped into a business without you knowing how the business is running, most importantly to know the advantage and the disadvantages concerning the business.

Another important factor that affects business is lack of patience; at least every business takes about 4-5 years to get stabilized, and if you don't have this patient to keep nurturing your business you may fall out of line (faith).

And if I will go further to keep telling you more, you must locate what that area is lacking before running into that business, you must not do a business that is running in every door steps within your region or locality.

Now the above things you mentioned falls in when there seems to be that particular thing you want sell in your chops, you can look for a better place or a high traffic place, it could be junction or bus-stop where you think you could attracts much attention to your business ¹ this is very very important. ² you must have positive mentality that you must succeed, which is enduring (patient) for at least the duration of 3-5 years to see the future of your business.

Let me emphasis a little about what you just said earlier, first Let's consider "change of mindset" you know if you're having the same mindset everytime there's no way you're going to succeed in your business. as a business man/woman you're supposed to come up with different strategies and plan, this will make your business to grow more higher than as it was before. Moreover, if you're also a business man/woman maybe you rent a shop in a very quiet and lonely place I mean a place/ street where few person's are just living definitely you won't succeed in your business, but when you relocate to a place/street that is  queued up with people definitely you will have too many buyers and from there you begin to succeed in your business.

I think when people flop in any business then they quit that business. They start new business and they have more chances to be successful in that business. After a few years,you have to change yourself if you want to be successful businessman but everybody has no required skills ,so they became flop in one business and then they make another mindset. Mindset also effect on change of business because sometimes person don't like one business and after he sell that and buy another business. He could be successful but it is not 100 percent you will be successful after changing business.But environment could also effect because your family members could also change your mindset and they will do work for your success.

It is common to see business owners want to move to another location because they claim that the environment has so much competitors. They want to move to another location that is less saturated by the kind of business they operate. Moving to another location where you can have more oppurtunties or customers is not a bad idea but I think having the right mentality is also very important. Business owners should handle their operations with that the right approach in order to succeed.

Having a vision and mission for your business and pursuing it will all you have is very essential. The ability to see oppurtunties where other see challenges will help the business to overcome problems. Any business owner with the right mindset will succeed in any environment because they will always seek for ways of overcoming challenges.

It depends what type of business you're wanting to create. There are mainstream businesses that everyone relies on and will have a steady stream of customers for a long time into the future - think of hair dressers or plumbers. Then there are the more pioneering businesses, which might be starting up a forum on a particular hobby that you find interesting or creating original items to sell on a platform like etsy, that require a bit more creativity. Both can be significant in making your business successful. First, you have to change your mindset so that you can create new and healthy approach that will perfectly suit on the nature of your business. Second, you have to change the environment as well if the original environment is not healthy or helpful at all. You have to find a safe and ideal environment that will support expansion, innovation and financial sustainability that are essential for the business growth and productivity.

That's actually a problematic move if a person jumps over another business while managing or just starts with the first one. I can think of it as someone who wants to expand his business too quickly but that's not how it goes. But if one does that and the first one becomes successful, he's good and able to find peers that's managing the first business. It's not just all about the mindset but about assessing if they're still good staying on that business and with all of the operational expenses, if it's worth it to stay or not.

You can't just leave the one and focus on the other. Both change of mindset and environment really sets the field for a businessman. If the environment isn't going to help you grit more, focus more and do more, it's best to leave that. And having a poor mindset affects everything as well so both compliment each other.

there are multiple reasons a business does not succeed
a. choosing the wrong products to sell to the wrong demography of customers in the area
    EG selling christian jewellery in a muslim dominant area (or vice versa)
b. price/quality of goods are wrong for the demography
    EG selling premium goods in a run down town of low income residents
c. location/advertising issues where no one knows you exist
    EG not selling online, not advertising or have real world store in some back-alley no one walks down
d. financially illiterate
    EG not planing your costs, expenses and income ratios

How about change in strategy?

If the first strategy didn't do well and so, do another one. Because there is no need to change the mindset because being a businessman or entrepreneur already took you to that point when you're able to change your mindset.

And with that, if the business isn't thriving, it's possible that there's wrong in strategy. Otherwise, change of business is another thing to do or last resort that someone can do, there's no giving up on it. Just take note the success of KFC and other businesses that took them years before seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

For me I think the both is important just that you should be able to identify the cause of the problem if it's your mindset /strategy and or environment. Because some people may change there mindset or strategy yet the business is not doing fine simply because of the type of business and the environment you are doing it. So in this condition you will need to change environment because changing mindset will not make the business grow except you change environment. likewise you may be doin business in a good environment but need only a good mindset or strategy to do well. Changing the environment is the last solution if all the methods used do not go according to plan. The new environment chosen must be in accordance with what you offer to consumers.

My mom use to say every business is like a new born child who needs care, attention, investment, patience, and so many more. If you want your business to succeed there are some little things that most people take for granted but those are the thing that thrive your business.

First before going into any business you need to check the environment and see what they lack in that area and most importantly again what people can live without. Imagine setting up a boutique business in a village, it not that they won't patronize you but compared to someone who have a provision store or someone who sell foodstuff. You need to conduct a proper visibility study.

Another thing to be considered for a business to thrive is finance, sometimes it not the mindset or environment but their is no adequate finance to move your business to the level you wish it to be. I have seen businesses fail due to finance and someone else will establish same kind of business there and it will thrive because he fund the business well.
