How i lost everything because of the gambling, now i quit but its too late

Like you said quitting now is too late , if really gambling was the source of your down fall, then

why did you gamble with what you cannot afford to lose, because that is one of the rules of the gambling,

why do you feel that gambling was like those your companies that you were running,

why were you not smart enough to gamble with a specific limited amount to try and see if you are winning and if not quit or why were you chasing your losses.

As a business man I expected you to know the rules of the game and not fall a prey to it, and if you see gambling as a means of investment the. You are supposed to know the risk in any investment you are making .

What do you expect when someone approach gambling with the mindset of hitting a jackpot so fast, with such expectations you can never overcome the possibility of losing everything along the line, because at some point you are going to be under pressure to keep chasing the winning by all means which definitely leads you to over gambling.

Not to mention, the chances of winning the jackpot in gambling is astronomically low that you'd probably die first before you hit it (1 out of 34 million).

@OP, you lost everything, not because of gambling, but because of your irresponsible actions towards gambling.  A gambling platform does not force you to gamble; you are the one who gambles as if there is no tomorrow.  If you only gamble responsibly, you could have stayed in the safe area where you won't lose everything.

If can't control yourself when you start engaging in gambling, then quitting will never be too late.  If you are capable, you can always start a new.  Look for a decent job or business that you are familiar with.  From that, you can start small and if, as I said, you are capable, you will be able to grow your business, or improve your career.  It is always not too late for people who wanted changes.  Although it is hard to forget the past especially it includes your friends and the comfort of your love ones, a person who want to thrive have to move on.

Don't thrive on the past, look forward and make the first step to regain your life again.  Old friends may be gone, but living forward will enable you to meet more beautiful people who will accept your past and be your friend.  Probably along the way, people who left will come back, and it is up to you to decide what to do on that.

I read everything and I will say that you gambled irresponsibly that was why you entered the numerous problems that made you go broke. But while I was reading your post, I didn't see were you mentioned your gambling experiences, so I don't know if it was gambling addiction that made you go broke. Some had issues like this due to drugs and womanizing. Many of us has been gambling for years now and we haven't had crisis like this. For someone like me I can't quite gambling and will take your second advice and continue gambling responsibly.

I suppose his gambling started as an attempt to recover from the failure in his business. I think that was the main point; he gambled out of desperation, and that led him to fall even lower. I don't think it was due to addiction; he was simply trying to survive in the worst way possible, which was by gambling, instead of using those loans in another business or other types of investments while he recovered what he already had. After all, businesses are like that; that's why you have to diversify in several areas and always keep a fund for crises to avoid going bankrupt.

I also feel sad, and I agree with what you said, it’s better to never gamble again. Personally, I think people who have already bankrupt because of gambling often hold a grudge to chase their losses in the future, once they become financially stable again. So it’s better to forget all the losses and start rebuilding a new life with responsibility. Fortunately, the wife and children are still there during times of financial hardship, they are the main source of motivation to revive. I just want to suggest that, if possible, try moving to a new environment, so it will be easier to start a fresh and better life.

We always tell gamblers to be a responsible gambler but we don't know how many of them are actually listening to a word we say.

But that is the sad truth and reality, when you've got a lot of resources. You're a king to everyone and everything.

And if you have lost all of those resources, you means nothing to them and only the people that loves you will stay to you until the end.

This isn't the first time I've heard of someone losing everything due to a gambling addiction. Even someone close to me has experienced something similar. He not only lost his money and business, but also his loved ones, who no longer wanted him. And now he's not at zero, but at minus. Debts are strewn everywhere, and debt collectors keep coming every day. And all of this happened because of his own carelessness while gambling.

He couldn't accept the losses and defeats, which really stressed him out and even depressed him. What I understood from reading your post is that this world always revolves around successful people. When someone is having a good time, there are many people around them who are also wandering around for various interests. And when that person falls into a bad situation, all those good times friends disappear, leaving no one by his side except his wife and children.

One of the hardest aspects of business and investment is to accept the fact they progress on their own time, and not on our time, as we wished it should happen. Then, we have to accept the fact we are just a gear on the bigger mechanism of life. We are just one of the determining forces, but it's like 50% is on our control and the other 50% is out of our control, so the best we can do is to plan ourselves for the bullish and bearish times (not talking about crypto market exclusively).

And by preparing yourself for the bearish times, it means not desperating and not appealing to extreme measures, like taking unreasonable risks which involve gambling with your money. It's definitely not going to be the solution, rather it's just an illusion.

If your company is slowing down, you have to slow down your expenses and lifestyle as well, until things start improving once again, so you can avoid a complete bankruptcy.

It's good that you still have hope; it’s the one thing that sustains life and makes you move forward. Without it, you will lose your motivation to move forward.
It’s just hard that the best lesson in gambling comes from our worst experience. New gamblers should learn the lessons from old gamblers so they can proceed with caution and avoid these traps that make gamblers’ lives miserable.

The OP is already on the level of regret and has lost everything and is currently in the phase of life where he's just starting all over again in a rebuild mode.
