NEM was designed as a blockchain platform. Period. It is an ecosystem and a platform for great things to sit on.

What I meant to say is that political interests (peace) always prevail over economic interests (economic growth), the former is generally considered more important than the latter. I am not quite sure why you think politicians are not elected in the EU? We still have democracies, or are you referring to EU level government?
You sure?Looks fun https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKfdL0WHm7c

The Sound of NEM game has started. It is a great chance to win 500,000 XEM by listening to a sound and guessing correctly what it is. You need help to get started? Download and install the NEM software: nem.io/install.html Helpful tutorials: - blog.nem.io/nem-quick-start-guide - blog.nem.io/windows-mac-installation-guide Here is the blog post with the full instructions. http://nem.io/soundofnem/ 中文NEM之音 http://blog.nem.io/soundofnem-cn/This is going to be great. good game. no answer yet.

Anyway, I 've got a question concerning booting the local node, is there something I can do so the wallet starts to boot a local node automatically when I open my wallet?

I don't think it's a cricket beause the click is only at the end of the sound i think. Yes, there is an auto-boot setting. Just check out the settings page. It's a checkbox.

I suppose "primary account" is already filled in, but how do I call the "node name" ? Just "local node" or something?

[...], is there something I can do so the wallet starts to boot a local node automatically when I open my wallet? As pat already said, there is an option for it, just take a look. Just be aware that if you login to your wallet before the db is fully loaded (which I think is only possible if you manually change a config file so that NIS is available before the db is fully loaded), then auto-boot will not happen. I hope we can change this in the future since this would make the usage even more user friendly. The node name can be anything you like. http://blog.nem.io/how-to-make-your-node-name-appear-in-color-on-the-nem-block-explorer/

Thanks I already have the "auto boot' option vinked, however it doesn't automatically boot when I start my wallet? I have to do it manually each and every time still...

Are you using the installer version? I think this is not the first time somebody reports this problem. Are you just opening the NEM software and then wait? Or are you manually starting NIS and/or NCC? How exactly are you doing it? Also I like the project "Crypto Apex Inc.", however I don't like the name that much, why this name? Isn't "Nemdaq" or "Nemdex" or something much better? I mean NEM and the exchange belong together right? Why is it called the way it is? I don't think it's a good move marketing wise...
Well, "Crypto Apex" is not a NEM internal project. It is a third party application/service. But rockethead or other people who are involved could probably tell you more about this.

Thanks again for helping me out nembuddy . Well, yes I use the installer version for Windows, when I open the wallet and the db blocks have loaded I get a message on the top of my wallet that says I still need to connect to a (local) node. Then I go to the settings on top next to the grey puppet and click "boot local node". I have to do that each and every time myself, not that it's the end of the world, it's just more comrfortable if a local node boots automatically...

I get that message on top, but somehow I am able to locally harvest now? So does this mean I am connected to a local node after all even though the message on top of my wallet says otherwise?

Now it's just stuck...renamed my node name for my auto-boot settings and now it says;
"Booting NIS... (at block 288965)"

Okay I give up, I just manually boot locally, also the DB blocks having to load all over again every time I start my wallet is frustrating, I just have to accept that this wallet is a pain in the ass in some regards...

Okay I give up, I just manually boot locally, also the DB blocks having to load all over again every time I start my wallet is frustrating, I just have to accept that this wallet is a pain in the ass in some regards... Please understand, that you are running a full node, not just a client. Starting a full node takes some time (load the complete database, synchronize...), but with NEM you are not forced to do that, but can still be 100% safe. Please read our tutorials, we have really written a lot of helpful stuff: http://blog.nem.io/nem-quick-start-guide/EDIT: To be able to run just NCC, I think you dont have to download the standalone version if you already installed the installer version. Regarding your problem with auto-boot etc: I think there is some problem with the installer version setting the right state (db fully loaded, booted, synced), but I am not sure, I dont use the installer version.
