do u plan to have a organized landrush phase for claiming namespaces

so in phase one u need a reason to claim a namespace and in phase2 everyone is able clain anything he want?

a good example how such things are set up professional is the way the new dop level domains where released

I'm hoping there will be some type of press release/outreach when Mosaic/Namespaces goes live.  

Contacting the major crypto new sources should be a priority ... this needs to be known.

That doesn't really have anything to do with the fact that all XEM related info should be updated here.  You can't expect everyone to use Telegram, especially the "masses"

I aggree. despite  the losers, this is where most noobs come first when checking out crypto. I would guess you came here first too rockethead. Also most people who are involved in crypto are holding many different coins and dont want to go to multiple different forums to get an update. Copy and paste really isnt that hard

Agree, Jabo was doing weekly updates here on BTT which I found helpful for those not on Telegram.  Hope he continues.

Thats a strange logic considering that probably everyone involved in NEM heard about it here first. The point I am making is just to use all available means to communicate to the investors and boycotting any platform because you dont like some of the comments is frankly ridiculous.
Copy paste any news and ignore the trolls (on all platforms)

yes Jabo does updates here every month for precisely the reasons stated above......

if you dont want to join Telegram just look back here and you will see the updates....they are usually very comprehensive

I would suggest that people go to Telegram or slack.......a lot better stuff going on there in my opinion.

The reasons for joining NEM are getting stronger and stronger as the weeks/ days go by.........

Google nem crypto. See what comes out. This place has too many losers. They just troll and fud, it is embarrassing and is a turn off for any noobs. I'd rather they don't come here. Besides, we have our own forum anyway in forum.nem.io.

In any case,  it is recommended that the genuine guys and non fudders should go to the slack and forum.nem.io.

It is vexatious discussing  anything sensible amidst trollers and fudders.

When projects are finished and launched, I will make an effort to post here and update.  Per Telegram, a lot of times it is discussions on projects that are in the works.  Lately we have been making some progress with mobile apps.  Working on the translations for iOS now.  There is also other work on Mijin, new NCC update, node rewards, photomead, mosaics and namespaces discussions and a few other things.  What I can say is that many people are working on this project everyday, not just one lonely dev trying to hack things together.  Sooner or later this work will get ninja launched or there will be ninja announcements and people can see.

I think gimre meant why the core people aren't hanging out here anymore. Information is posted here but there is a slight lag since there's a lot more discussion even pre-release of most thing on slackogram.

It would be nice if someone could do a comparison in simple terms for the average joe.

Both claim to be 'platforms' that can build anything ontop of their blockchains, other than that, I don't know the dirty details.

These days it's like a Cambrian explosion of new code projects.

A couple years ago it was an explosion of Bitcoin/Litecoin forks which in many ways were kind of pointless.

But now we are seeing lots and lots of new projects, some using a Blockchain and some not but many really bring ledger technologies to the next level.

There is a lot of competition out there but when I look at a lot of other projects it's like one developer an ten guys promoting it. In NEM we actually have four amazing devs working every single day and many other people helping out and trying to get NEM ready for something way beyond crypto forums and speculators.

To really help NEM be the best we could use more people helping out though still. If you would like to get involved and help us out, send me a message and let's have a chat.

We aren't focusing on pumping to speculators on BTT.  For better or worse the decision was made a long time ago to not do that, but in the meantime I am still trying to post here.  When real deals have been signed, they will be announced here, but if you knew just how much was involved in real world meetings, you would be very surprised.  Makoto is definitely our best marketer and he has been to maybe close to 100 meetings I am guessing, maybe more.  The guy is busy.  Its not his job or responsibility to type to minute notes of those meetings on here, nor does he have time to because again he isn't trying to pump XEM to BTT speculators.  But again if/when a deal is signed, there will be press releases and official announcements. 

The guys in town will be meeting Makoto either tomorrow or Monday evening. Cheers.
