It finally worked ! Withouth the best community of all times, I could never have achieved this. So thank you, the Magi community...

Glad that everything finally worked out, Erkallys! Congratulations on your successful compile!

Also, digibob00,

I highly suggest that you wrap all your file changes and commands in the <pre><code></code></pre> blocks that WordPress will format for you. That probably goes for your mining guides as well, but I didn't take the time to look at them.

As it stands, it's hard to differentiate between the text you want people to add and what you're typing as directions (hence the "goto" issue). After adding the code and pre tags around your paragraphs, it was much easier on the eyes: https://i.imgur.com/F5hgjM7.png.

Tnx feldenthorne,

now modify my page in a more clear way, maybe also adding the file modified to avoid any doubt.

I see you modified also the github.

The compilation instruction added are more specific of GCC 4.8.2, for GCC 4.6 for examples -mcpu=cortex-a7 can be -mcpu=cortex-a15.

a15 and a7 for that purpose are similar, and also this extra compile directive is not strictly needed, but can help.

Regards

Currency symbols for Magi.  All these looked good when I sent them to myself as a PM and read the PM under Chrome on Linux and on Android.

You should see the symbol, the hex number for HTML, possibly a html entity name, the character set, and the name of the symbol.

ɯ &#x0026f from IPA "small turned m"
ʍ &#x0028D from IPA "small letter turned W"
₥ &#x020A5 from Currency "mill"
ℳ &#x02133 and &Mellintrf; and also Letterlike Symbols "script M"
µ &#x000B5 and &micro; and also Latin-1 Supplement "micro"
μ &#x003BC and &mu; and also Greek and Coptic "mu"

Is there something wrong with MaxMiners pool?

It has been out for a long time now. This is exactly the same as HashHot, which never came back onstream. I lost a few XMG there - nothing to lose any sleep about but annoying just the same. All my pool accounts are set to pay out automatically every 10 XMG so I can never lose more than that

Join me on XMGpool in the meantime. You know it makes sense Wink

Thanks for promoting the pool. The 0% pool fee will be kept to the end of this month and could be extended for another month.

BTW, did you do some earning comparison for the pools?

BTW, did you do some earning comparison for the pools?

Well ... yes, but nothing more than keeping a few notes from my own mining returns since the very early days with this coin. At one time I had equal hashrates on two pools, then four pools. Returns in the short term varied widely. On some days, the smaller pool(s) would "get lucky" and generate a well-above-average return. Returns over the longer term tended towards roughly equal returns on each pool.

This result does makes sense. On a large pool, you will find blocks more often, but have to share the proceeds among a larger number of miners. On a small pool, you will find blocks less often but have to share the proceeds among a smaller number of miners. These factors tend to balance out over the long term.

One thing that did come out from the figures was that it was best to be on a smaller pool when the block rewards were higher (i.e. lower difficulty). I do not know exactly why this should be so - it's a kind of magic. It is as if sheer hashing power becomes less relevant when the difficulty is lower and "luck" comes more into play. I expect that somebody cleverer than me might be able to explain this effect using mathematics.

Edit: Looks like Maxminers is back onstream now.
