I'm building 2 rigs i bought 6 rx 470's for my first rig should i buy r9 390's for my second rig ? Less used r9 390 second hands with warranty cost like 255-265 dollar in here(these cards used 2 month without oc) and rx 470's cost me 235 dollar. Any tips ?
6x R9 390 will need a 1600w PSU. A side benefit is you can also heat your house with that rig! PS I have 3 MSI R9 390's I would sell for $250 each through ebay. $225 each if we can find a arbitrator.

this could be due to excessive overclocking or undervolting. not overcklock, not undervolt, there is change bios did not claymore 5, 6, 7 only 8

I have seven r9 280x, everything works fine, temps are betwen 50 and 60. I dont belive there is somthing wrong with v8.

I've got 2 more 480's coming in myself... One seems to be better-binned. Running lower stock voltage and hashing about 20 sol/s faster. Both are PowerColor Red Devils, but I think the first one they sent was actually the factory 1333 Mhz one, since it has the seal of solomon on the back, even though it wasn't marked. Must have been a lucky packaging for me. Anyway, that first one is getting ~200 sol/s, maybe a bit less on average, and the other is doing 180 Sol/s, but again, that second card is running higher voltage and whatnot, and using more power. So probably a silicon lottery thing. Any other numbers on RX 480's on Clay's 8.0 release? Just trying to see what everyone is getting. P.S., it seems claymore says we can get 300 sol/s on a 390, but I'm at about 240 sol/s. Might be because I'm using the newer drivers though, not sure.

is that a problem? after few hours appears incorrect datathis could be due to excessive overclocking or undervolting. not overcklock, not undervolt, there is change bios did not claymore 5, 6, 7 only 8 Try reducing the intensity. Use -i 5 or 4 or 3. The V8 stress the GPU more. I had the same problem with V8.

I don't really believe in coincidences... But I'm not sure. Maybe usage went up, and so did temps? Maybe they got hot enough to melt the solder, or something like that. I have a pretty aggressive fan curve on afterburner, even though my cards stay fairly cool. Around 75% fan at all times, or more if temps go anywhere over 80C.

What were your hashrates (average) with the default intensity, 4 I guess? Trying to see if higher intensity is worth it, since I use my computer while mining. But I'll prob give it a try and see if it's stable at -i 5.

why only 100 shares in 1:59 minutes that seems low for over 1200 hashes

Cool, thanks. Are you on Claymore's recommended 15.12? I used to be at 15.20 and I swore my hashrate was higher when I compared them on 7.0 Actually, I think I'm going to do a system restore and see how the 15.20 works. At 16.x.x, I've only got 230 sol/s on the 390. Pretty bad IMO...
