Now you can add that BA didn't had enough time to make proper video, add that proper video is improper and cry more about everything else in the world.

But they had the time to design a new 14nm chip?

Scammed by Black Arrow? See the consumer complaint thread here -

I received my X-1 today. And now the fan doesn't spin up.  Angry

After several months of waiting the only thing I can do with it is playing some Android games.  Undecided

And I thought it can't get worse...

I saw on their forum that sometimes the fan connectors are installed backward.  try flipping it.

Tried it already. But it didn't work. The fan is definitely broken. I connected a CPU fan to the connector on the X-1 and it spinned up. Then I connected the X-1 fan (some Cooler Master 200mm fan) to a motherboard as chassis fan and nothing happened.

You should complain! The unit is obviously faulty!

Let us know how that RMA goes.

This time they're really quick. Not even 12 hours after opening the ticket I got a tracking number for a replacement fan.

I think the only way I will get anything back is by selling it on ebay. Even then it will be a loss. As energy costs are quite high here in Germany it will produce even more losses when switching it on.

Did you try to downclock it? It can work at 0.5w GH. at 40 GH/S total Consumption about 25w, if you remove fan and LCD as well place smaller fan like 20 x 20 mm it will be even less. Best i got was 19 W per 40 GH, and it worked without fan. Just don't forget that you can ruin PSU without any cooling applied.

40GH earns you $2.18 per week at the current difficulty. You pay just over half of that in electricity at current German prices. So not making a loss, correct, but no chance to break even either. A couple more difficulty increases will kill even that meager profit margin.

Thanks to BA's eternal delays, not a single customer will ever have a chance at breaking even on their purchase price, unless the price of BTC skyrockets again.

Half is better than 0 if your electricity is expensive? Well it's up to you anyway if you want to do that or not.

I couldn't make any tests because of the broken fan. I'm waiting till I get the replacement one. But I had planned to undervolt and downclock. I have read the voltage adjustment thread on ecointalk.

It would not have made me rich, but if BA had delivered back in February I could have made more than 600$ (~1.3BTC) (w/o electricity costs) at current prices.

Oh please, I have hawked AsicMiner and Bitmaintech in the last 2 hours on this thread.  Do you honestly believe they are paying me to go after you?  Why would they?  They ship quality products from in stock, and guess what, not a single of their units have ever exploded.  Guess those high quality parts are pretty easy to come by.

Ok, I won't delete your post again and reply you instead.

AM sells only chips and they are lower quality than ours.

Would you please now go away?  You are not our customer, you have no business here.

Your further messages will be deleted.

Shysters?  Pre-orders do not equal 0% financing.  Shysters.

Waiting for a tracking number from BA. Payed 12/08/13 and have gotten nothing but the same old excuses.

And who's shill are you? Newbie 86 posts do not make you more trustworthy than any newbie.
Anyway i don't care about rating minuses or pluses, sorry i have more interesting life than having to earn my reputation with person who obviously has mental issues and anger management issues.
This rating systems was always a toy for people who has to much time on their hands and no personal life. And more of it, how does it proove that someone can not be trusted or traded with, if some other members just don't like what he posted??? Logic fails here.

Sticking out and not having panic moods because of money is different things, if you can see some people believe here that Bitcoin miner on time should of made them rich. But it proves nothing, they could as well ruin BTC price much earlier same and not gain any profit rendering BTC useless with this approach, making money not BTC, any BTC enthusiast will agree. It started as alternative to common financial tools, and that world was much better before people who wanted millions by sitting on their ass (that was never meant to happen) was brought to BTC market. And i am sorry if i prefer to not whine and just accept it as my mistake and move on, working to earn what i lost. I guess that way is outrageous to some people - working and making money, so they so desperately looking for opportunity for free money that they forget, when it comes to free money, only 1 person wins, not all. And you can guess who that person is, in this case. So go ahead keep calling me Shill, just because someone does not agree with someones point of view Smiley

Thats easy to say, you have received your order!!!

I don't care about the machine making profit, I care about 9 months going by and not having a bitcoin miner i paid $6000 for. The X-3 has been shippnig for a month and the employees of Black Arrow have there orders, so where is mine?
