I'm a real person,  with a real order through minersource.

I feel really bad for those people who have X-3 orders from BA for 6k.  They are paying about $2 per Ghash.  That's an insane price today.  AntS3s are about $1 per Ghash.  I've never had a S1 fail on me,  and I'm guessing the S3s are of similar build quality.  Even with the power supply,  they are still overpaying by about 40% compared to currently available hardware. Losing forty cents on your dollar isn't fun =(

I'm not happy.  I was at least expecting a few months of cloud hashing.

What are you waiting for then?

Put your refund request through Minersource and opt for store gift card and order a bunch of Antminer S3's with that money!

That's 10 S3's or roughly 5 TH/s then the crap 2.4 TH/s you're getting from Broke Arrow.

I bet you'd get the S3's before the X-3's also.

Yeah,  It's frustrating,  because minersource has a 20% or so markup for their S3s. I'm not too thrilled with losing 18-20% on the dollar, either. I have an email in to MS,  I'm hoping I can just go for a refund with some 5% restocking fee, and be done with it.  I ordered my X-3s when they were 5k each  so it isn't as clear cut for me.  If they are unwilling to budge I guess I'm going to contact some lawyer friends and see what my options are.

I did make my orders based on bobsag's recommendation here on the boards,  so I'm hoping he will set things right.  Not having that much sympathy for minersource at the moment.

I wonder if the scammers at Black Arrow will ever admit that the 24 february shipping was a blatant lie? I mean it's painfully obvious to everyone at this point but I doubt they have enough decency to say it out loud.

2.We have already manufactured 10% of the X-3 backplanes which are now in SMT line for assembly. We expect to deliver them by 12th of July

I may to volunteer to test the first lot and provide a full report of the progression

What was your Order number from Blackarrow? As many of us have low order numbers from Blackarrow and have seen nothing..

If you do, please update us here on the status. I'm sure if a few people can successfully get a refund, the masses will follow.

Black Arrow, you should prepare your wallet and just refund customers with BTC no matter which way they paid you.

If you refund people and the X-2 isn't complete garbage, I'm sure people would buy a few. Also, when you drop the prices of the X-3 and X-1, a bunch of us will probably use the the refunded BTC to buy back the X3 and 1 at fair market prices. I would just because you acted in good faith for once and treated the people who funded you with a bit of respect.

It looks like we WILL get the PSU for our Compensation units. Black Arrow- Don't go back on this!
 
Compensation
Currently we are unable to raise the compensation more than announced previously. The final decision will be made after we complete all deliveries in order to calculate the yield and our final costs.
However, we have done all preliminary calculations possible right now and due to our design focused on quality including:
-8 layer PCBs
-heatpipe heatsinks
-aluminium case
-included power supply
-long life 4 wire 5000 RPM fans
-genuine parts (capacitors, resistors, mosfets, inductors etc)
-capacitors that cannot not explode
 
 
Everyone- save your emails that state this, they will have no choice but to include the PSU, and probably refund everyone who has paid for extras.
 
 
I'm curious to see the price drop one they start shipping. I'll buy up a bunch of X-3's @ 1.5BTC a piece. If they're able to beat Bitmain's price, they may just be able to make enough to reward Batch 1 and 2 customers AND possibly fund a new project. Hopefully they'll hire proper PR people and stop the pre-order BS.
 
If they're very careful and play their cards right, they can take this (very) rough first run, learn from it, hire the right people, (like me) and redeem themselves.

Well I'm trying to look on the bright side and convince myself and Black arrow that there is a small possibility of things working out in the long run. Amongst all the negativity, which I too am guilty of, I'm trying to look at things with more positivity and hope the positive energy rubs off on others.

Also, with the broken english and grammar in these updates, it's sometimes hard to determine exactly what they mean sometimes. Like when David said that the backplanes were fixed and in production, but they have handmade backplanes for testing....some of the info given is convoluted, ya know?

So now BA=HashFail2. They should have offered chips for their non-deliverable miners in the first 2-3 weeks when they found out that there is an X3 backplane problem. I am sure that the community would've assembled some miners much faster than BA.

Judging from the past experiences my advice would be to take the chips as fast as you can and have them assembled on boards. Getting a refund would take ages and it seems that getting miners is the same.

They did offer 4Th/s in straight hash boards or 70 ASICs back in May. Both options were throwing good money and time after bad so-to-speak. It also included possibly critical technical information being withheld.

The good news I see here is that the wofully inadequate 50% compensation says they may actually intend to deliver something and not just straight up take the money.
