click on the transaction tab in your wallet then right click over transaction and select "Show transaction details"... Then post it here
Also, if you just submitted the transaction sometimes it takes a little longer than it should, however if it's been 30+ minutes it's not normal

So you used the updated wallet, I use the first wallet. Now we have to find out if Alex also has the new wallet.

yeah i didn't update my wallet since it wasn't mandatory. i wonder if it has anything to do with the updated version. nobody really had any posts with issues on the first wallet. both users posted after the 1b update.

I had a problem with a stuck transaction for days, here is how I solved it:

I deleted the blockchain, and replaced wallet.dat with a backup made before the stuck transaction.

While the blockchain was re-downloading, but before it received the stuck transaction from the network, I very quickly sent the coins in a new transaction.

The new transaction cleared after leaving the wallet open and connected for nearly 24 hours, and the coins are now where they should be.

Hope this helps those of you having the same issue!

(also, I am on the original wallet, have never upgraded)

Thanks for your help! I hope this helps the people who are having issues. More so, I hope they were smart enough to back up their wallet first thing Smiley

No it will not help!

We need a fix from DEV!

fix the dump priv key command in the wallet-QT!

If we can dump our priv-key then we can make wallet.dat forget bad transactions.

I am also having the problem and can't send any coins....I have several transactions that have been stuck for 3+days.

I have tried deleting everything except wallet.dat and letting it rebuild.  I did this with both version of wallet.  still no luck.  I increased the transaction fee to .01 with my tests to see if that would help...no luck.

Any help would be great!   Dev needs to address the problem, seems I am not alone!

Hey guys, in case anyone's wondering, the payout cronjob got stuck, so I had to manually restart it this morning. I went back and manually checked over payouts, so everyone got paid.

You guys might want to check your wallet balance and compare it to what the block explorer(s) are showing.

My wallet contains 7104 more coins than  the block explorer is giving me credit for.  In checking the transactions, this is the amount of coins that I directly solo mined.

no it's not an abandoned coin. the devs pop in here quite a bit. they are working on redoing the website and launching services for the coin. they said April should be a huge month.

IS this an abandoned coin or what? where is the dev?
I have sent the dev a few PM's to get OctoCoin listed on my website but he never replied...
So maybe the community can answer it for me:

Hi,

I was wondering what the original block reward for Octocoin is and if any halving/reduction takes place so I can get Octocoin listed to the mining profit overview on https://cointweak.com and get you a personal calculator?

Kind regards,
Tweek
Hello dev,

if you would like to see your coin added to the website I would need to know the block numbers at which the reward changes take place...

Kind regards,
Tweek

Ugh, Tweek, I'd answer that but I've been dealing with so much crap today I don't even remember right now..

I'll tell you guys one thing, though. Dealing with this coin has been a pleasure and a pretty smooth experience. Some other coins, which I will not name, have serious problems and make a pool sysop's life a nightmare. Anyway, my point is that I've been busy so please forgive me for delaying the giveaway until tomorrow!

This has been a pretty slow week so the pot isn't that great, hopefully whatever the devs have in store for us will get the hashrates kicking again! I like to be able to offer up a fat prize, but I can't do that if we're averaging 10MH, so get your butts in here and mine! http://888.fedaykin.us

Also, stratum has been integrated into the main site, 888US.fedaykin.us should point at it too so you shouldn't have to change any miner configs. God, I'm tired. Good night everyone.

Man, my Octobag is so heavy,
some good news would make it much easier to carry  Grin

Good news for you:

You can give it to me, I'll carry it, LOL

Just joking, don't take offense Cheesy

But if you're on a giving mode, let me know Grin

Guess we'll have to wait for the devs/team to increase activity - I wonder if that will happen before PoS kicks in (how many days are left, anyway  Huh)

Source updated on GitHub + updated Windows and Mac OS X wallets released. Although not required, we do suggest updating at your earliest convenience.

Is there a requirement for the version of Mac OSX. I noticed most OSX wallets I download do not work including this one.

I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

It's no biggie. I'm running the Windows wallet already. Just curious if you have to have Mavericks or Lion/Mountain Lion versions of OSX.

Interesting - we have confirmed that it runs on Mountain Lion and Mavericks. We built it with support for older versions of OS X but have not tested them. What happens when you attempt to install it?
