News: Due to a wallet-migration bug, you should not upgrade Bitcoin Core. But if you already did, there's no need to downgrade.

think you edric  it's work !  Grin

i think you are  a good boy and octocoin is  a good coin. Kiss i keep all my octocoin  and i will buy 100 k other .

how many coins  have you  keeping and what price you think 888 will up?

I'm glad you were able to get it working! Keep it up!

You'd think I'm making a lot of coins by running a pool, but not really. Looks like the giveaway is only going to be about 500-ish. Since I'm running late with the giveaway I'll bump it up a little bit, I'll have to look at the wallet. Since my birthday I've been moping around and not feeling well, haven't really been motivated to work on anything much.

Now I am working on trying to get an old project called bitcoin poker room up and running for OctoCoin, but it may not be possible with Ubuntu 12.04. I can't find much info out there about it period, and it seems like quite a few people are stuck with the same issue I have with it. It's disappointing, because there's so few open source options out there for setting up games. Anyone know any -working- and non-shady stuff out there that I could set up? I'd be happy to launch some more services for 888. We have a faucet already, yes?

On a side note, in the financial department I kind of screwed myself and forgot to cancel something, and it billed and left me not enough to fully pay my server rentals. If anyone feels like being generous and donating a little bit, I'll come over to your house and make you bacon sandwiches. Smiley

Oh and edric, happy birthday by the way, hope i'm not too late  Smiley

Thanks Stonerboy and neleonele! I'm still bummed nobody in my family brought me cake Sad

I never forget anyone else's cake..

I am having the worst luck getting any kind of gaming site setup for 888.. I'd REALLY love to get the Poker game up and running, it looks really nice, but its dependencies are all deprecated and lots of them are obscure. I've seen other posts for stuff like SatoshiDice clones, even some blatant ripoffs for sale and some extremely dubious ones offered for free (that will steal your money). Surely there's a legit one somewhere. . .

hello everybody,

edric sorry I misspoke . I wanted to ask the other the number of octocoins not have you Smiley

the bitcoin is close to 300 euros and I think it 's almost time to buy . what is the annual low point of bitcoin ? one that can be found rich .... 50 100 150 250 or 300 euros? IMHO it will fall to 250/300 euros. I do not think it will drop much lower. because many btc are held by a handful of people and they do not sell 100 dollars worth in 1000 that there was a few months. they have faith in btc .
secondo worldwide were plenty of people willing to engage purchase ( russia , china , usa ect .. ) .

octocoin on , I think it is a piece with great potential , selling in 3000 satochis is suicidal. I think it will go much higher in the next few months.
its logo is among the most beautiful if not the most joli.son wallet is ultra fast, I 've never seen it .

number 8 is worshiped chine.il represents infinity for us and for the potential 888 is infinitely large .

edric you work a lot and I hope you will récompensé.je will try to bring friends on your pool will be numer one soon I think.

keep all your ca 888 be worth .

if i see any i'll let you know. i was thinking the same, see if there is anything out there that can be of value that is free to set up. yeah there's a faucet at coinok.pw and the 888 balance is at around 130ish. i actually just had to cash out some btc for the same reason you said. i had a bill that was recurring that i forgot about and it charged me this month and i totally forgot i even had a subscription. that always sucks. i have a guy investing $250 on Friday, maybe he'll be nice and shoot you a few bucks while he's buying.

Could someone help me? I sent 5500 to CryptoAltex a week or so ago. It STILL says pending on their site. Here is the transacation information:

Status: 0/unconfirmed
Date: 3/27/2014 10:35
To: cryptoaltex 8cnrKg6FHrA8FwhmgGCw4tviodBFDFGgsB
Debit: -5500.00 888
Transaction fee: -1.48 888
Net amount: -5501.48 888
Transaction ID: 2b4eb5440291e05c4b3f539bdc0a667de145544c0efb7ea9a56f57b6cc46b1b1

They told me this:
 "Hi J,

The blockchain is not showing the transaction any longer and the coins are not confirmed in our wallet.

http://explorer.octocoin.org/search?q=2b4eb5440291e05c4b3f539bdc0a667de145544c0efb7ea9a56f57b6cc46b1b1

You can also look up the address and you'll notice the send isn't' there for those coins.  This is the 2nd time this has happened with OCTOCoin, I believe they have a bug somewhere, you may want to ask in the forums.  I'll keep an eye on it as well, but there is nothing we can do until the coins get confirmations.  They are in your pending because we saw them hit the network, when we see the we add them to pending, when we see confirmations they move to your balance, in this case the transaction disappeared and therefore cannot be credited.

Thanks,

Chiznitz

You have to export the Private Keys of your Address into a new wallet. This way the unconfirmed transaction goes away and you can resend your coins.

1.) getaddressesbyaccount "" will give you all Adresses in use for the Wallet

2.) for all these Addresses do a dumpprivkey <address> and save the Strings into a text file.

3.) Then Setup a new Wallet either on a different PC or by moving the old Data Directory on another place. If you want to delete all Data make a copy of your old wallet.dat in case something goes wrong.

4.) With the fresh synced Wallet do a importprivkey <address>

After doing this your Balance should be updated and you can resend your coins.
Maybe try to send bigger amounts in multiple batches. I had the problem mutliple times already and sending smaller batches seems to fix it for me.

It shows nothing (I do have 283 octo in my wallet, so it's not a corrupt wallet at all.)

I tried loading with -salvagewallet and it just turned the wallet into a corrupted 32 kb file. I restored the original wallet and I'm still stuck here. Please helpe!@!

Seems you have the Windows Wallet. Just get the Addresses from the Addresses Tab in the Wallet. Then proceed with the other steps.
