I can't believe this game hasn't been played yet (or that I missed it if it did) but what do we think the 8 apps are?

1. Cards                   -  Gambling, Potential tie in with 888.com?
2. Square code         - ?
3. People                  - Crowd funding, Octo backed projects?
4. Lighting Cloud      - Cloud services, Storage, hosting,
5. Finger Print           - Anon feature? / Registration feature?
6. Building/Bank        - Bank, deposit coins for interest? Fiat exchange? (Could make banked funds transfer instantly without confirms for Octo services?)
7. Briefcase               - ?
8. Tower Blocks         - ?

Anyone else have some speculative thoughts?

square code - language of the machines
briefcase - contains sleeping gas, beware
tower blocks - jenga

well, i hate being on this eternal "hope-wheel"

however I do hope that the gang have prepared some BIG releases and PR on 8/8/2014 which is in 5 days.

would be a squandered opportunity to miss it imo.

OK Octocoiners!!  Since we are in a slump here, waiting for announcements, I have been cleaning out some artwork from my collection.  Figured I would make it available for Octocoin.  1st piece is a pencil drawing done in 2011 by Elton, it is of Sheena, Queen of the jungle.  It is on 8.5 X 11 thick paper.
It can be yours for 8000 OctoCoin (US), or 9000 OctoCoin (International).  If you want this great piece of art, send me a PM.

cool artwork

so hey, where the hell is everyone hashing these days? fusion has like 2 people on it (one of them is me) we could use some more, i figured you were all having a pow-wow at fedaykin's, but i notice he only has like 7-9 people. both pools totaling about 50M, so where is everything else coming from?

3 days till 8/8!

We're still hashing away at Fedaykin's, occasionally popping out source some Btc. Coinmine are probably the big hitters at the mo, It's a switching multipool which throws 1.5gh ish around and it's still mining a fair bit of 888. It doesn't stick around for long enough at any given time so the net hashrate doesn't spike. For example they picked up the last 10 blocks...

I'm mining on Coinmine.pw.

Remember when coinmine were sniping the bonus blocks? They're smelly.  Wink

Come join us on Fedaykins  Smiley

oh hellz yeah!

coinmine.pw has a cool site, but they're the ones who exploited the bonus blocks so that we had to hardfork, can't really see myself being their patron when they use coin-killing tactics like that.

fusionhash and fedaykin would love the hashes.

i'm partial to fusionhash as it's the only venture-backed pool, so i assume that some of the 1% skim actually goes to the developers, i could be wrong with that.

anyways here they are:

fusionhash.com

888.fedaykin.us

happy mining!

888.fedaykin.us, that is edric's pool I think.  I'll see if it works when I get home.

I find fedaykin pool better as it has both vardif and fixed dif, my miners can't hand vardif

Giving it a shot, but I'll tell you I have been averaging over 8000 888 per day there.  Looking at the blocks found at Edric's pool I don't think I'll make that there.  Also the miner doesn't seem to like the pool much.  It keeps resetting.

@djslick

Where do you see 2 people on Fusion? Every time i log in to check my balance, Fusion has 7-13 people, one of them being myself.

@FrameLaLife

Look through edrics post history, our pal is currently busy as he has taken over dev responsibilities for 1-2 other coins

We take about 3000 a day at Fedaykins (at current net rate) and you have triple our hash rate so you should be fine, takes a bit of tweaking to find your ideal difficulty, we had no luck with the vardiff. And extra hashes will mean more blocks found (and you wont have to share the reward with 150+ multiminers).
