From the graphic of choices it seems like 30% of options weren't even chosen. So I guess every season its just very close and tight.

Yep its going to be close every rounds. Especially when top 4 of the league play against the bottom 4, like 90% of us would pick them over the other team

I see only Harkorede chose both Bayern and Chelsea. The second lucky winner missed Bayern, although he guessed Chelsea.

I guess he will win this round. Harko got Real Madrid, Liverpool and Barcelona for the rest and most of us have atleast one of those teams as well so unless we got another team that score 5 goals which Harko doesnt have then there is no stopping him to win the round

OK so it really looks like a 'simple' game. I think most of us went for Bayern so easy pick but damn whoever pick Chelsea knew all about the shitty team that is West Ham lol I'm dissing them in all my posts today they made me so mad and I don't even like these teams but they just ruined my day all the time.

Yes, as i said is super simple, and yes is super tight but somehow the last season Saint-l manage to build a big gap pojt by point round by round, and for the end we were only 6 of us fighting for the prizes.

And it was a good and difficult fight every goal counts.

Am I a genius or am I jinxing Spurs with 20 minutes to go?

I cant say anything, but i want to see if your money is where your mouth is, and we can check this very easy, wait me a second here please.

but there are 5 others with Bayern Munich + Arsenal but personally I like your selections better because you have Liverpool in it. Most has either Either Real Madrid or Barcelona or both combined with Atletico or Atalanta ( rough check, cant really recall everything ). Liverpool probably could score atleast 2 goals though

I'm also interested in explanations, especially considering that buwaytress usually makes strange picks... maybe this was also a strange pick (according to his criteria), but it accidentally turned out to be wrong? I mean he was betting on City as underdogs when we were all betting on City as favourites.
As for the start, I'm also screwed because of the damned Ten Hag and the damned Simeone. I'm crossing these clubs out of my bets until the coaches change.

Would be funny if Newcastle scored 4 against Liverpool, or something like Fulham score 3 or 4 against Manchester.

Now I feel this strategy is to pick all the teams everyone picks with 4 picks, then pick 1 team to beat everybody (this round that team was Chelsea).

I'm backing Spurs -- not in the pool obviously, but the odds looked too good to ignore. Happy I got them close to 8/1. Odds are barely 55/10 now. Good for me? Agree about Eze. He'd be a central player in Spurs... another Gooner in rotation for Arsenal.

Thanks fM, yes i really hope to see this working properly, this give us more "live" results so we can check easily how the round is going (unless i update the control sheet).

So please everyone when the round ends please doublecheck the results since this is new and can have errors, i test it a few times and it have to be working good.

Yeah, makes sense to avoid 'risky' picks at the beginning of the season. These teams can change drastically from season to season, I'll start with these types of gambles after round 5 or something like that.

We have a super good first round, today the first round ends with the games between Liverpool Newcastle and the games of Inter and Bilbao, but until now we have a rain of goals and if im not mistaken we never have a round with so much goals from the teams who can be selected.

At least for me Villarreal comes to me recue and with 5 goals makes me not be that far from the rest of the field, anyways im in a very shit position since Atalanta like in the previous season wrecked me with a clown performance an scoring 1 goal, i know they were a shit pick since Juric is a bad coach but against Pisa i thinked it can be a good one.

We had it on the last season though R17 to be precise. Highest was 21 on that round with 15 as the lowest with couple of people getting 18,19 and 20 as well.

Anyway started off pretty rough for me with only 13 goals... its hgonna be hard to catch up with the rest after getting a bad round like this

I thought I was making safe bets, but Leverkusen and Atletico screwed up. These two shit teams never deserve to be chosen. And the shit is because of the coaches, I like the teams themselves (except Atletico haha).
However, I am behind 10 participants at once, the probability of making risk-free bets and winning is small... I will have to take risks - this is a death spiral  But last season I won 5 or 6 free bets thanks to the risk. I think it's time to focus on them again.
