I cannot consider tottenham as a favorite for the Europa League title. Tottenham is in a very weak position this season. Tottenham is in 14th position in the Premier league points table. Most chance's situation could be clear after round of 16 because right now predicting is not easy while these odds by bookies always trap for punters those love to place early bets on big odds Manchester United and Tottenham both have tag of hot favorite surely laughable for many.

We shouldn’t have the wrong approach that they already failed in the premier league and are only left with the Europa League to contend for a title for. They may have been playing poorly in the premier league but even till now, if their form changes, I am very much sure that they can achieve something big before the end of the season and may likely be in a position where they will finish the league title in a more suitable position.

This season, I actually expect Athletic Bilbao to go all the way to the finals, they have been somewhat consistent in their performances both in the Europa League and also in their domestic league which has in turn made them one of the favourites in this season's campaign, and if they were to face a team like Manchester United then my pick would be athletic Bilbao because they seem like a more formidable team than Manchester United in terms of performance, statistics and ratings this season and I think they would eventually make it to the finals this season.

Athletic Bilbao  is among the favourite teams to win the Europa League judging by their performance in the competition but if they are to play against Manchester United I don't think they will easily defeat Manchester United because Manchester United is not a team to right off even in their worst performance. I am a Manchester United fan and I admit that Athletic Bilbao has had a better performance than United this season but do not underestimate the performance of any team when it comes to a competition because a team may be doing very well in the group stage but on getting to the final stage they will concede goals that will see them out of the competition. I can't pick Athletic Bilbao to defeat United before the game but if they perform better than United that very day and are able to convert their chances to score goals then they are free to win, Manchester United is not a small team regardless of their performance and inconsistency but no one should deny the fact that the team has done well in the Europa League competition games this season.

Whether or not Manchester United is a team to write off or not considering their erratic and depreciating performance especially in their domestic you would agree with me that Athletic Bilbao is very formidable this season in all competitions than Manchester United which makes it a benchmark that they can and will beat Manchester United anywhere.

Some of us are probably still viewing Manchester United by the standard of their past glory days thereby respecting them when they meet other none elite teams with current good form. Perhaps that's why we get a lot of spoilt tickets than wins due to our perception about this game called football.

Tottenham also experienced a difficult thing for them in EPL but I can say Tottenham also has a good percentage in UEL the factor is the teams in UEL right now I say none are impressive apart from Lazio and Man United and Tottenham.

If I tell the truth, I actually have a little doubt that Spurs have a chance to win the UEL title. Maybe Spurs can try to continue their struggle until the semi-finals, but if in the semi-finals Spurs meet one of the favorite teams, they will definitely lose and fail to reach the final round. For Lazio I still believe that their chances are still very good and even for Man United I feel more confident that MU can be really consistent until they reach the final round later. Amorim has planned something good to be able to bring Man United to get good achievements this season even though they failed in the EPL.

Tottenham are far from their performances last year this year. They are at the bottom of the Premier League. And this is unusual for them. They also played poorly in some matches in the Europa League. Although Premier League teams were favorites in the Europa League and the Conference League, a strong team like Lazio could eliminate them this year. So Tottenham is of course at risk of elimination.

The Europa League play offs will be played tomorrow, I'm probably looking forward to the Porto vs AS Roma match, it seems to be a more interesting match than any other. Although, every match has its own appeal, but since Porto is a team that can be considered to go further as well and so is AS Roma. So ofcourse, this match will be  the hottest match because they also have the same good quality in the squad. But even so, if me consider the history of their meetings,  it looks like Porto will still have a chance to win  in the first leg tomorrow, because Porto will also play at home.
