Victor Boniface was not even noticeable on that match unlike him that normally create a lot of chances, although in the case of being in a good mood I'm very sure he was on a good mood because if you watch the whole players from there training till yesterday they played the match there was nothing like misunderstanding between them and they were all in unity, perhaps that's just how his strength could carry him yesterday, so let's hope for more better performance from him on there next match.

This was Victor Osimhen's message to his friend Victor Boniface. We have to have confidence in the young prolific striker. Watching him play in Bayer Leverkusen shows that he has great potential. I heard somebody say he is even more tactical than Osimhen; this comment is arguable. But I think the coach has confidence in him and he needs the support of the fans. Nigerians want goals from him, but much criticism will put him under pressure. I believe what Osimhen said when the goals start coming, it will keep raining. It might even start on Tuesday, maybe.

Maybe later in the future anything can happen, but the super eagles that are finding it difficult to win the African Cup of Nations are already dreaming about the World Cup. The super eagles are having good players, and playing against all these African countries is not supposed to be difficult for them, but the super eagles struggled to win against Libya, which is a disappointing one for the super eagles, a country that doesn’t even have quality players. I just love how this morroco team play with so much ease, sometimes I wonder if they are a African side because they play much like European team. They are one team that really love to keep the ball, they attack with ease and move the ball around easily too. They beat Chad 5-0 which I should have been even more, they created alot of chances and scored 5 goal with 7 shot on target. Some bigger African teams would have struggled against this Chad team but Morocco didn't and that one thing I like about them. Taking Nigeria as an example yesterday how they struggle against Libya.

Morocco are still top of the table with 9 point from 3 matches, they have now score 10 goals in their qualifiers so far, that absolutely phenomenon. They are one team I always gamble in African qualifiers and they don't disappoint.

If you play football with a team that is applying time-wasting antics, it could be frustrating since they distort the flow of games. And Libyan goalkeeper Murad Al Wuheeshi was a master of this delay art. He was faking injuries and always lying on the pitch after several simple catches. Playing against a defensive and time-wasting team is not easy, so I commend the players and the coaching crew.

The struggling of victor Boniface in front of goal has never been a surprise too me because when looking at him and his playing qualities, being physical is not part of his strength, and we all know that in African football, you need to be physically strong as an attacker in other to be able to shine or trouble the defensive set up of the opposition, and that is one of the major reason he has been unable to get a goal in his past nine outing in the colors of the super eagles.

So just as you rightfully said, victor osimhen is actually a more better striker than him because right now, victor osimhen is way more stronger and a better attacker due to his physicality and his ability to unsettle defensive set up with his attacking prowess, so Boniface will definitely be relegated to the bench if victor osimhen  comes back from his injury, so it's would be of his own interest for him to step up his game now so that he wouldn't be relegated further on the super eagles team, if taiwo awoniyi  returns back from his long time injury.

If we want to see Victor Boniface playing the way he has at Bayer Leverkusen, Augustine Eguavoen will have to try and understand the nature of his players especially Victor Boniface. The players are from different clubs and have their own DNA. We have seen what Victor Boniface can do in Bayer Leverkesun, there is no doubt about his ability to score goals when given the opportunity. Eguavoen should structure his game plan so he get the best out of Victor Boniface if not I don’t see Boniface getting any better in this current game structure.

Even though Victor Osimhen was absent, the threat was still there. Libya were afraid of the onslaught of goals that would come if they played a high pressing game against the Super Eagles. Burkina Faso won Burundi 4-1. Burkina Faso are the favorites to win this match and I believe we will be seeing a repeat of that high goal difference game tody.

I agree with you, Osimhen has that zeal and passion to score goals for Nigeria or show great impact whenever he is on the pitch, his presence alone is a threat to other countries because he is unpredictable in his moves and has that leadership spirit in him. We have a lot of professionals but it saddens me to see that they aere finding it difficult to win Libya easily who are very weak. Boniface is good but he hardly performs well when he is playing for Nigeria, or is it that he does not understand Super Eagles football pattern which makes him to be unproductive. However, Libya coach came for a draw but Nigeria showed their superiority and scored one goal to disappoint Libya plans.

Your statement just validated what Benzema reply when he was interviewed on why he stopped scoring goals in Al ittihad immediately he left Real Madrid and won Balon D'or and he told them to asked his team mates, as a striker his need his team mates to work with him to score, similar thing here with boniface. Forward can't enjoy making goals without good connections with midfielders and that's why he hasn't score for super eagles so far.

This is exactly what Iwobi couldn't do in the last Afcon and was been roasted on social media, you can't win a match if you don't have a good defenders and good midfielders, even if you have good goalkeeper, he will get won out with more shorts on target but Super Eagle is fair but that midfield need to be tweak a little to help the situation of the forward players so people don't come for them later if they don't win important matches.

There is no right or wrong way of playing football. We may not like the way Libya played but that’s because we are on the opposing team. If you were Team Libya, you would be very much happy with parking the bus. When Mikel Arteta parked the bus against stronger opponents like Manchester City in the premier league, Arsenal fans praised his brilliance though he was accused by other teams of using dark arts but his tactic worked or almost worked. Libya could have survived the game if not for the goal from Dele Bashiru.

This is one of the most important comments on this thread. Simply put Osimhen is a threat and other countries especially African countries know it. His unpredictable and ability to lift team spirit is a very high quality which I admire the most. If he had been in the super eagles squad that played Libya, the scoreline would have been different. Even though the team secured their 3 points, they could have done better and I expected that now that Austin is the coach for this period.

Victor Boniface has to score in that game. I am not buying the talk of Nigeria not having a good midfielder supplying him good passes because in the game against Libya he had opportunities to score as he was the main target for more than 30 minutes of the game, and what did he do?

Burkina Faso is better than Burundi and its real fight is against Senegal for the first place. Burundi and Malawi are just normal teams that both Senegal and Burkina Faso should pass without problem.
Interestingly, the 3 games before that had big scores with Morocco winning 5 - 0 and both Guinea and Ivory Coast scoring 4 goals to 1. All these games will be played again in the upcoming days and I wonder if we will see the same results or not

The game played as expected, with Burkina Faso getting all three points. I have to say I’m kinda disappointed the score sheet. I was expecting more goals from Burkina Faso, you don’t score your opponent in the first 5 minutes of the game and then score your second goal in the final minutes of the game. At least they were better than Nigeria yesterday. Congrats to Burkina Faso, they are still leading their group table with 10 points.

Yes, nothing is impossible in football, but for Nigeria to win the World Cup, I don't think it will be possible in the near future. I don't believe Nigeria has the great players needed to seize the opportunity to win the World Cup, especially considering the current state of sports activities in Nigeria, particularly in football. Some of the countries that we see winning the World Cup are those that have taken football seriously for a long time, and they always do everything they can to support football in their countries. So, I don't think Nigeria will have much of an opportunity to win the World Cup.

Honestly, Nigeria has great players, and we have seen how they perform in their various clubs. However, when they come together, I don't know why they always find it difficult to play well as a team. With the type of players the Super Eagles have now, I don't think they should be struggling to win against most of the African teams. Maybe it's because they haven't had a good head coach recently.
