Very good material. However, the tutorial about installing NEM on windows amazon AWS VPS is not there... Thanks! Amazon free VPS with Windows is horrible... That ubuntu version is more responsible but to be honest won't pass supernode test. For free node it can be but for supernode Amazon free is to weak. Making ubuntu is quite easy with scripts: https://github.com/Stoner19/Nem-Installers-masterthey are working, Appreciate it. I will try it with Ubuntu. I was thinking to help with a super node as well but atm I don't have the funds (3m) I could borrow some money but I'm nor sure if there is any ROI with the super node at least to cover the costs. Many thanks for your help!

Gotta admit I just recently jumped into the boat and XEM might not be as cheap as other users bought it. There are no nodes around Geneva to remote in and the same applies to Venezuela. I think SEM could be very good for Venezuela due to it's current situation, and I could help since I'm from there. Cheers

Congrats to NEM devs Maybe finally their work has been noticed and the valuation of XEM [ksem :] is growing. But... how about the Exchanges. Here has been few posts about their safety. Is it expected that EVERY Exchange will be "hacked"? If it is so, then I start believing that it is not actually a hacking problem. It is just a systematic and 100% sure method to get virtual coins. And the method is owned by the Exchange providers themselves.

I'm using it atm. Is there a way to check if you are really harvesting?

Given the current trend of "hacks" (some of which are probably just lies to cover exit strategies) i think it's a safe assumption to say all exchanges can be hacked and will take your funds with them.
This assumption has saved me many times over the years and i never would keep a single coin on an exchange for this reason.

Thanks for the advices. Which Exchanges have lost their funds and when those have happened? Just looking for the "t(h)rend" ...

Copying the file should still work but there also one on bob: http://bob.nem.ninja/nis5_mainnet.h2.db.zip (pretty recent i think) You tech theoretically you any remote NIS as your server. There is no way for them to steal your founds. They could feed you bad data so maybe stick to the supernodes when the reward programm is up and running. You can checkout the lightwallet and see which servers are listed there. Those should all be trustworthy.

For a next update, do I uninstall / install, or can I install / update over the old version?

If you encounter problems though the first thing you should try then is to uninstall all of it and re-install.

I created a new wallet in lightwallet. Where can I get the private key if I want to import this wallet into another wallet?

No such function in the lightwallet righ now. Depending on what options you chose when creating the new wallet you may or may not only need the password though.

If you please have a look at the two or three last pages you may find your answer (hint: antivirus issue?). But, anyway, support is usually at https://forum.nem.io.

Off topic. Approximately how long does it take to harvest something? and is there a way to check if you are really harvesting?it has been more than 24hrs after my vested balance was >10k and I haven't harvest anything with 0,82% importance, is that normal?

although it is necessary to have 50-60k to be less time and succeed in the catch block and so conceived in the system of the NEM, although the planned harvesting at 10,000 NEM and the probability that the catch block too, but here we have to say that the importance of the account and receive blocks accounts with a large number of coins ( now probably accounts more 1x mln ), and that here at this stage the probability to catch a block with 10k is equal to 0, but to catch the empty blocks ( blocks without pay ) can be obtained, although, but the chance is 0.80% on catch block is not bad and that probably from 24-48h it will take time for this
