When it's going down is precisely when you should buy.. Thats easy for anyone to do but can be done horribly wrong and have opposite effect than desired.. The key(and most difficult) part is knowing when to buy while others are selling.. figure out When are people going to stop selling and start buying again and at what price this will happen and place your orders near that price before the switch from selling to buying happens on a regular basis then youl get very rich very fast but if you dont know much/anything about day trading or swing trading dont even try.. the vast majority of people who day/swing trade lose money to the very few who know exactly what they are doing..

Buying low isn't neccessarily good. Buying below the "real" price on the other hand, is always good. Vice Versa for selling.

Day traders are just trying to make a quick buck. They try to buy on downs and sell on ups. This works if you have a lot of money to move markets and bots to do it. Also works if you have really good intuition or insider info. I'm a long term holder and I buy when an asset has regularly gone up and I feel like in the future there will be more reason for it to go up. I don't day trade because there are big day traders looking to eat you up.

Fully synchronized finally.
Is there a testnet NEM explorer?
I have some anomalous coin remainders showing on a few accounts
1) TBAKBP-MI6NFK-UXMCPZ-JCBZHH-B2LQ6Q-M3UTGL-5QEP has a balance of 0.84 NEM I couldn't send
2) TBSG7P-GGNGOC-KV4XYK-K4KWOU-FGQPQB-FUWBLG-MOTS has a balance of 0.88 NEM I couldn't send.
I want to see if those are in the blockchain, or if it's some sort of display error on my end.

to clarify the above, the decimal balances are what I had to leave off of the transaction in order for it to process. The NEM block explorer shows these balances as existing, but given the transaction history, I can't determine WHERE these coins came from It's almost like they're extra somehow that just appeared. The transaction history zeros out otherwise.

instead i see 2btc per NEMSTAKE and i don't like it. I remebered when it was almost 3btc for NEMSTAKE... Someone just dumped 0,1 stake for 3700NXT before that the price was 49000. I strongly believe in large surge upwards after devs set the deadline. Any news about the third annoucement? First two were amazing and highly doubt third one will be atleast at the same level.
