it is just question of time
maybe next week

I don't want to be a downer or anything ...

But I would warn everyone to trade NEMstake with extreme caution and that the current price doesn't mean much.
NEMstake is not a liquid market and the price could go either way with a few buys and sells. It could very well be worth much less after launch which would dissapoint quite a lot of people around here.

You should probably only buy a NEMstake if you really believe in NEM and want to hold on to it for a very long time, and not for short term profit.

By the way. What happens in fork?
If fork happens, must the h2.db be deleted manually?
or will nis synchronize and correct the forked parts away from the chain?

I don't suspect you're serious. That is poor even for a troll.

how embarrassing Sad

r u pissed off?
It looks so according to ur 3 latest posts.
Why dont u call me also half-brained??
That I must be becaus I'm not any troll.
I'm just worried about my wallet and transactions. Do u think that there is no need to worry???

Was that a stupid fork question. To whom do you think you are making software? To other crypto specialists?
Don't think so.

www.tech-recipes.com: "Why forks are bad?
Often forks are associated with great anxiety and panic ...
Thus, coin transactions found on the "wrong" blockchain could ultimately be lost."

Sorry for rude answer, not my best day.

I expect readers of this forum to know at least basics of crypto currencies.

(SOFT) Forks can happen all the time (like with any other crypto currency).
They are resolved based on chain score.

Highest allowed (soft) fork in NEM is 360 blocks height [1].
Although in reality you can consider yourself lucky, if you'll see fork deeper than 20 blocks (in NEM I mean).

[1] - After that software won't resolve the fork, and the only way to get proper chain is removal of db, and resync.

HARD forks (the one that we occasionally announce here and on NEM forum)
are the forks introduced by changes in the software.

They are programmed to happen at some certain block. If you WON'T update
your software you might end-up on a fork.

Those are really the basics...

How the soft fork is seen in NCC?  Is the NCC's highest block less than Blockchain Explorer's...  like 10 - 30 blocks behind and NCC is synhronizing all the time?

Who's responsibility is to identify that case [1] and remove the db? The wallet owner's?

Why dont you come over to the nemforum where the real technical discussions take place? This thread is not the place for this in my opinion. Everything in one single thread... You wont find crap later...

It is like the future is happening.
i find it somehow a little uncontrolled and also a little unfair. Most of the people were giving their stake back already.
As there are only 150 stakes there is only a very small amount for trade. Someone could make easily artificially market making. All others are not able to participate.
The price could rise easily 10 times (and/or drop to 1/10). Most people gave the stake back because of time pressure and now they are out...
I would suggest to set the deadline soon... do we really have to wait for the release for this?

Don't bother waiting for the release man. I stop. They'll do it when they're ready. I'm tired of waiting too. Just cause we want it to be launch doesn't mean we're goin to dump either. Im in it for the long run. Don't bother waiting or asking when this will be launch.  Undecided

Lately I have realized this as well. Good luck to all anyways!!
