I didn't get the notice so I'm cool here, but trying to speak on behalf of the others I recognise as active forum users and valuable contributors to the gambling sub-community at Bitcointalk.

Rules are fair enough for me too, but I do feel like 6 months no deposit is a bit of a short period. Like many, I've opened and maintained countless accounts on countless different sportsbooks, and many I may not deposit for a long time until I feel like it. We always play where the juice is better for us, right?

My Stake was dormant for 2 years probably until they got their UFC promos back on. Sportsbet pulled me away from my previous fav bookie (BCR, until they closed down too). Fairlay I have been betting with a balance that's been growing more and more, so I haven't needed to deposit in yonks. It doesn't mean I won't bust it all one day =) Nitro I haven't since 2017 but still have an account! Many more I haven't mentioned but I still maintain.

At the very least, the active forum accounts here should get some kind of waiver maybe?

It loads fine in my end, I can even load it without login. What is your browser? Perhaps it is an issue with your browser or your inet connection. No other suggestion for you except, try to open it with different browser and/or reset your connection.

Bettor doesn't stay in the same platform always and it is reasonable. I paly in different casino and betting sites. But it's not possible to stay active always at every single place. I give priority to those sites where the promotions and bonuses satisfy myself. I was active in FortuneJack in 2018. But I moved to other betting site in 2019 and stopped visiting FJ. And last year I found that my FJ account is suspended. And this is the second time I'm going through the same situation (with new account).

Inactive account doesn't provide any benefits to the casino. And it doesn't matter to them whether we are regularly placing bets at other casino or not. Very few casino have this kind of system for inactive accounts. Bitsler is one of them too.

BTW, we have the option to save our account from this blocking. In the mail they said

If you want to avoid suspension, please contact FortuneJack support within a 14 days, otherwise the account will permanently be blocked.

I reached to their live support and they said that deposit is the only solution

Yeah same here, I nuked it like rightaway so I don't know the email sender now because it had a link to click to login. I didn't think about deposit activity though so if Trofo is right then yes, it may have been some time, but if that's a reason, then it should be made clear in the inactivity notice like what you need to do.

It said "login" though, so I assumed it wanted me to login and get my password and such.

Any monetary funds available on such dormant account may be removed by us without a further obligation to refund. Before removal, We will use reasonable efforts to reach and notify You about the removal of funds via the most current contact details You have provided to us.

Thanks for the clarification FJ So I guess it really is because of my deposit, which I haven't made in a long time true and fair enough.

I do hope the dormant account won't be taken away though and just left there allowing us to return to make a deposit when we can or want to.

Would be a shame to have to create another account when we decide we want to deposit again!

No worries, as OP/FJ says, yeah, we can just request to unlock the account when we're ready to deposit.

I still hope the can reconsider manually approving people on this forum to continue using their accounts without depositing. I mean, for the active gamblers anyway. But fully understand why they'd want to do that, just I think they could accidentally lose actual gamblers just for this one rules I haven't seen anywhere else.

@slaman29 this rule is good and bad too, good in a way because it’ll reduce free or inactive player’s on FJ, which will give them a good idea about the activity on their site and they can plan promotions accordingly.

Lastly it’s bad cause it’ll hurt real gamblers pride if they’re locked out, and those who’re not aware of getting their account restored will end up creating multiple accounts which will lead to unnecessary scam accusations.

What pride, if you are a real gambler put up some money and your account will not get disabled Saying that as one of the guys who are under the threat of account being disabled. I'll just deposit a couple hundred $ and problem solved. I was contemplating to do it or not but in the end I got swayed by Majestic 7 promotion. That is something unique to FJ site which you can't get elsewhere. And it is always good to have money on multiple bookies, easier to get better odds and more markets.

My advice to all those people contemplating multiple accounts: don't do it. Sites like FJ which have promos where multi accounts could get you big advantages, must have good protocols to catch multi accounts otherwise they would be out of business.

There are other places that does something similar but for the accounts that had "never" deposited and that would understandable but right now we are talking about the people who did deposited but didn't for a while, there is a difference because in one of them you actually did deposits at one point. This is why I believe that if you haven't been here for a year then that is fine, if you never deposited that is fine, but the accounts that did deposit at one time and haven't in a while shouldn't be getting terminated.

So this do talks about dormant accounts shouldnt really be that blocked or being terminated but basing off with no activity lets say for a year then it is just right that they do really terminate it.

You know that websites do really like to free up some space and whenever they do saw those inactive accounts then they would normally be taking that kind of step.

Yeah, what pride hehe. If there is anything that can be said about gamblers, being one myself, that most of them have no pride. They can be gambling 1 BTC today and then begging for rain or other free stuff the next day.

FJ already gave the option to us to manually contact and get the account restored so there's already one way in.

Anyway, time to move on. I'm glad my original question was answered, and I know have a clear idea of what to do going forward. 1 mbtc is now $66 dollars anyway. If you don't have that to deposit, no need to gamble, right?

Reading from Tornike's post, I think you only have to log in once in a year for your account to be active. The six months deposit requirement is only for new accounts, not for old accounts (that have made several deposits). If I'm wrong about this, I think FJ should give email notice as it's difficult to remember when was our last deposit.

I would like to say that this is a database issue. Unfortunately these days database control is getting more and more expensive, servers are not cheap and that is why these companies are getting their account number lower because that would be a lot cheaper for them. I understand that closing these accounts with minimum required information there so that you could restart them whenever you feel like coming back.

However in this case, we could literally just not deposit anything and just gamble with the free stuff. Like majesic7 and guessing 7 goal scorers, we all love that right? Why would I want to be depositing if I am only interested in that? Is it illegal to be only doing that?

I would say it is not illegal to do that but those players are not actually target audience for FJ. They are doing promos to keep old players and attract new ones. Definition of player in previous sentence is something like "User who deposits money and preferably losses more than wins" Every bookie is a business and they are not here to sponsor us for free.

I don't know if this is the reason for recent accounts purge or database costs as somebody mention above but it does not matter. It is logical decision from their side and one that should have been expected even earlier.

Not sure that's really the case for FortuneJack. Databases these days do a lot of purging already for non active accounts, but I'm sure there's not too many of use here facing this issue on the forum. And I thought data was cheap these days. You could store a million usernames and passwords for less than a gig I'm sure!

And not a question about being illegal. As Trofo said, a question about becoming a profitable business, to serve actual customers, and not freebie searching people
