I'm just trying to be patient and wait it out. I won't ask minersource for a refund unless as a last resort. However I would be open to the option of a hardware exchange (dollar for dollar). Or even a cloud mining option if minersource was to offer one on a temporary basis. Considering $429 (wire transfer and shipping fees) total for 100 GH while they currently have the S1 180 GH for $195..

For what it's worth they offered me a dollar-amount gift card. Tempting, with the S3 coming out. But IDK man, I ordered this thing with play money and I want it.

I know some people here made investments and - frankly at this point - lost. And my heart goes out to them.

While I agree with you 100% and have had nothing but happy dealings with MinerSource, they chose to partner with the likes of BA, and frankly, it doesn't really matter who has my money, as a US citizen who formed an agreement with a US company to deliver goods, they are bound by US laws to refund me if I so choose.  I think you are confusing people as being disgruntled with MinerSource when that is not the problem, but, I can either choose to wait and receive machines that have a 75% chance of not returning what I invested in them over a 6+ month period, or I can get my money back today.  You would have to be a fool at this point to trust BA with any more money or to even deliver a proper product.

I mean, the "Minersource chose to be a partner with the likes of BA" doesn't really hold up because by the same account you chose to order a BA product. Are we to hold ourselves accountable?

Well yeah actually to a certain extent we are - we ordered pre-order bitcoin hardware knowing the past. It's a fine line between "we were lied to" and "we got the most accurate estimate they had that turned out to be inaccurate". I'm not going to litter this forum with even a passing defense of black arrow. I might have In June but we're well into july in China and batch 1 hasn't even shipped. That's pretty inexcusable no matter the circumstance.

But I think the resellers made the same choice we did, and they - and we - kind of lost.

I hope to hear that Minersource has tracking numbers this week. I'm not holding my breath.

After speaking with MS I decided to take the gift card option. I excepted the risk of a preorder and see no reason MS should have to except all the loss. The real loss is time and difficulty increases. The hardware I purchased with the gift card will hash faster than an X-1 so all is good. Give them a break guys and grab one of the other miners. I have found the people at MS to be as willing to help as they can be, I am not sure that they really know what BA has done at this point and wish they could get out from under it.

What I have learned from this is Preorders are bad, MS people are trying, and PreOrders are bad. There is enough venture capital out there for these companies at this point, crowdfunding a start up tech company is a bad investment at this time.

I hope Minersource was smart enough to have some delay clauses in their contract with BA because this situation is a disaster for everyone involved  Angry.

May give Black Arrow another chance one day.. In the not so near future. Once they've actually delivered a product - that's actually fully functional and available for shipping at the time of purchase - at this rate in a year or two. Good luck.

My letter to MS has been drafted, need some concrete information soon or off it goes.

better send the letter and get your $$ back, BA still does not disclose their compensation plan wich means it will be crap just like their lack of information given about production..
do you realy think they will clean up there act at the last minute.?

15 minutes, then it will be sent in, I can take the waiting, it is the lack of information after being told quite blatantly last week that these things would ship Monday.  I gave notices saying I would ask for a refund unless new information was posted about updated timelines and that has failed to be done, as such, it is out of my hands soon.

Agreed, the waiting was part of the gamble, we lost. The lack of info is crap. Why can't you update us Bobsag? I don't understand. This also raises a red flag about MS.  Probably won't buy from there in the future.

Seeing how MS has stepped up and have done right by their customers, I take back what I've said about them. I'm glad I was wrong. Sorry.

that's great.  what sucks is that it took this level of bitching for them to do the right thing, and probably the realization that they were going to get sued into bankruptcy if they didn't.  it should not take months to not get fucked.

this is why our world has devolved into a cesspool.  people will fuck you if they they can get away with it and call it 'business'.  people get bitchy when you call out the legal dogs even if you've done everything else at your disposal to set things right and are still getting cornholed.  These assholes at BA are still holding people's money, and acting as if they have right to do so, which they do not.   

I'm glad Minersource made it right, although I think it was likely out of a sense of self preservation rather than a desire to do the right thing.  At the end of the day I don't think I'd buy from anyone in this market again.  Too much scum in the well to drink the water.

I never had an issue with minersource other than the time frames. It took longer than *I* had wanted it to but i wound up getting a btc refund in the exact amount i sent them to begin with. There was never any arguing over the amount, just the time frame.

I am glad minersource is making the best out of this. It is a smart business move. If they can still do right by their customers after getting screwed them selves, in this competitive market it positions them well for the future.

Bought 2 antminer s3's yesterday!

Never gonna preorder from a new chinese company again.
Any ideas on how to possibly get money from china back or is it game over for us???
