Apparently there is an issue between the different clients like Geth and Parity. That and also the lack of miners.

Either way, the chain stalled and they will most likely have to post pone the main net release until they can get this fixed.

It's good that this happened on testnet and not mainnet or else would of been a catastrophe.

It is good so that we can still have 3ETH instead of 2.

The real problem is not even good updates are working in this kind of market for any project talking generally. Ethereum isn't going anyway, its first mover advantage for smart contracts will keep it fully relevant for next few years at least. In real bull market everything sees surge in price and so will do ETH so by point of view of making money is in still profitable to buy and hold.

Maybe big investors trying to dumb the price of Ethereum! so that they will buy at cheap price. 
But strong hands still holding Ethereum and other tokens, price will rise soon.

Very bold assumptions that the price of Eth can reach 17000$. I don't even know what's going to happen on the market for this scenario to come true. But in the cryptocurrency market everything is possible, time will put everything in its place.

Yes, really unfortunate to hear that things didn't go well, and that it may not happen this year - I hadn't seen that article yet when I posted before.  I have faith though.  I'm sure this has exposed them to a lot of the issues with the code and hopefully should be able to resolve those and bring the network forward.

Well back when ETH was $5 did you think it would reach $1400 which is basically a 280x gain, so for it to hit $17000 is only a 85x gain, so its certainly is possible. However there are many issues that need to be addressed first.

Right now they need to figure out what will happened with the fork that was planned next month. Basically its risky both ways. If they delay it, its bad for the coin because it seems its developement is lagging but if they do a quick fix and release it anyways next month, it will be very scary if there are more bugs and the network stops or ends up forking off.

However we need BTC first to go back to $17K before we even think of ETH at $17K. I never really took these log charts too seriously, eventually there needs to be a top somewhere.

Don't look at the news but concentrate to development which is happening around this space to understand where things are going. Ethereum is fully relevant as early in the next years its physical futures are on the table of big investors. I don't predict price but I can see good things coming for this as well along with Bitcoin in few weeks/months but will come after all.

there is no reason that eth will loss their value in future but it will increase
some people thinks that eth will loss its value because some other project arrived with more speed of transactions and more functions
but i think eth team is working hard to move eth network to the next higer level.
just with a good bullish move eth can go higer without good news. so what happens when good new come along

Yes and the issuance reduction was only on the testnet fork, which failed and has bugs that need to be worked out.

So basically they need to fix all these bugs. And if all is well set a date for the mainnet fork, which is most likely going to be a few more months away.

Probably won't happen at DEVCON like it was originally planned. They need to make sure there is not going to be any transition problems not to cause a network stall of the network, which would be disastrous for the crypto community.

Someone should put Voting on a Blockchain, and instead of using the Coins as Voting Tokens, make it where if someone can prove they Voted they get a 1 Vote Coin or whatever. Then it would work better. Voting would be secondary like a dApp on the Blockchain.
