It's because they are both in a way powerful and influential and they have their own images to protect. They probably have lies that they want to keep secret so they just shut their mouth otherwise why would they be scared to really go at it as you said?

It is true that Trump could use his power to pressure and make things difficult for Musk's business, and many have made these assumptions. But I wonder if it is easy and how does it benefit Trump and the US economy? Because Musk's businesses are not just his own, they are playing a vital role and having a profound impact on the US economy. They create millions of jobs, generate hundreds of millions of dollars in tax revenue for the government each year, and create new technologies that help the US maintain its technological leadership on the world stage.

That is why no matter how divisive and polarized politics in the US become, businesses like Apple, Microsoft, or other large corporations will never be targeted by politicians or presidents even if they support the opposing party. Likewise, Musk is not afraid to fight Trump because he knows full well that the US constitution will protect him if he does the right thing because the national interest remains the top priority.

Elon DID get richer thanks to him getting all that money from the government and that is not a lie at all, he doesn't have "money", he has debt and he has networth but he doesn't have money himself, sure he is richer than all of us here lol, but for someone who has 300+ billion dollar valuation, I guarantee you that he never had more than a billion dollars in cash for longer than a week, and that means, all of his investments comes from either within the company or from government. Don't get me started on Trump, if I start talking about what's wrong with him, I would have to write a whole book here.

The squabbling between them makes both look bad, its to no advantage win or lose in this 'fight'.   The fact they so close then all of a sudden sworn enemies makes it all look very fake and with weakness apparent.  This is great for enemies of USA to witness but nobody should be glad two powerful entities regardless of their egos are unable to just be polite and walk away without spouting nonsense so publicly.

Even America is democratic country but still politics is dirty game where things can take quickly changes friends can turn into enemies and enemies can turn into friends few months back he was one of the biggest supporter of Trump now they are enemies.
Donald Trump is one of most powerful who can do anything, but he will never do against Elon Musk because this can hurt American economy as well which could be not favorable for him in any case.
Big corporations always needed by them because these are giving them good oxygen most chances they will keep things on media because this is going to be beneficial for both parties, but now things could be not easy for Trump because he is increasing his enemies which are not good in politics already many big decisions going against him.

They looked very close before even supporting each other but a few days later they felt the tension which ended up like mortal enemies for now.
This shows that in the end, interest is always one of the things that must be considered because they realize that in the end they know no one is really sincere to support each other when 2 people who have control in the country system as well as a large number of followers that make when one is careless then they will be stabbed. As for the facts, Trump lost. He planted a time bomb under the Republican Party. Even if he tries to push Elon Musk out now, he won’t be able to stop a new party from forming — and that party could easily bring Musk back later

When two influential people start publicly criticizing each other, it can affect not only public opinion, but also real processes: from the market to international relations.

I read something, I just don't know if there's any truth to what I read, where Elon Musk is going to enter politics, I just don't really know how true it is. We know Elon Musk as a billionaire businessman all over the world who is also known to be the reason why the price value rose and why Dogecoin, Shib, became popular.

Now if it's true that he's going to enter politics, for sure he knows what he's doing because he's a smart person, a businessman, and whatever his advocacies are and we can see that they're good, I don't see any reason not to support him in what he has in his plans for politics.
