If I don't hear any shipping news by the end of this week, I think I'm going to attempt to get a refund on the X-1s I ordered through Minersource and spring for a couple of the Antminer S3s... BA, you're so behind the curve, dudes. That is exactly what I have been saying, I am giving until Friday (in all honestly, I would request now with the news of that awesome sounding S3, but I previously said Friday, so I will stick to it). So come friday, if no tracking, I will happily take all my bitcoin and buy as many S3's as I can. Debitme, let's have a pact and both go for the refund route if we don't hear anything by Friday. Sick of the bullshit stall tactics and long confidence tricks. Bitmain: 1)Announce 2)Build Miners 3)Accept orders 4)Ship within a week 5)Happy Miners I know I know some exceptions with the S2, but the S3 it pretty much the S1 on steroids and I'd say there was 1% failure rate or less with those little tanks. BA, last chance homeboys....

So what is the best deal shipping right now?
In terms of new mining equipment without coupons, bulk discounts, or back room deals and that is shipping right now. I think it's Dragon Miners which are near $1.60 - $2 per Gigahash. This is a rapidly moving target though. Most manufacturers are not keeping up with the difficulty adjustments. You need something around $1.30 per Gigahash to break even right now with the average difficulty of 47 percent per month. (Assuming around 13 cents per kwh.)

Black Arrow has told me that the only way they can refund me is if I choose to get a refund and then wait until after the x3's have been shipped.
So basically you are going to hold my money either way?

That is what I have determined I will be doing. That will allow me to hear whatever they have to say tomorrow (as we will more than likely not hear anything today), and after that, based on my calculations by what I can reasonably assume BA can and will offer as compensation, it is not worth it anymore.
I have talked with my lawyers, and really the only thing left to do is for me to request my refund and be denied and we will have a case. I can't speak to much more on the matter for various reasons, but I doubt it will be much of a problem on getting a refund. Then all of those sweet juicy S3's will be mine and I can laugh and leave BA far far behind.
BA is so far behind the curve it isn't even funny.
I think I'm with you on this one

Curve they don't even register on the damn curve and if they knew about this said curve it would be next week before they would be near it.

Come on Blackarrow and Minersource, speed things up or we are all SOL. I am sticking this out and waiting for the X1/X3s. Time is running out, don't pull a Hashfast and file bankruptcy on us.

Hopefully the price is right. Don't worry, I think they can beat $1.99/GH/s and $2.97/GH/s.

If the S3 is priced at 1 BTC or lower, expect Bitmain based miners hash rate to raise from their 20% total to over 30% easily of the total network hash rate. Bitmain just dominating the miner space at the moment. Can't afford an S3, you can upgrade your S1 for cheap. Can't afford anymore big miners, because you just got a S2, they got an upgrade kit for you too. And this is all before they announce the S4....

All depends on how fast Bitmain can make them because they'll sell as fast as they can manufacture them at that price point. The second hand market will also go crazy for cheap S1. We're inching closer to a price war.

Mining. And they thank us very much for the interest free loans. i'm afraid you're right ... The simplest answer is usually the correct one. I don't believe for one second that BA isn't mining while they "test" the units. They've had working hash boards for a few weeks now and seem to have breakthroughs at convenient times that delay shipments so they can apply said breakthrough.

Why speculate, they have already published screen shots with the BTC address some mining has been going to, it's not like it's a big secret conspiracy. But most shipping asic vendors can tell you that it's quicker to make a million dollars selling miners, than it is to mine a million worth of BTC, as most hardware takes months just to cover it's construction cost with mining. Getting boxes out the door quickly is the best revenue, just look at how much net hash antminers have, and work out how much BTC bitmain made from selling those!

Mining with versus selling,.. Yes selling is more money faster. However,.. Selling, THEN mining with that HW until the last possible second and THEN shipping same (now useless hardware) = best of both worlds. I get my profits AND your profits and the "risk of repercussion" is minimal. and I thought honesty was the best policy.
