I think karma coin is one coin that tries to use the computer power to do good(i don't know what algo they use). I am realy only like two weeks into cryptocurrency and have yet much to learn. But i was looking for good coins, thats why i came to magi. It's kind of unique with it's M7 algo. But i found others too. Storj and maidsafe try to use your hdd space to create something like a decentralized dropbox and more. Etherium is trying to do much more and i realy can't explain how, but it sounds like they are trying to decentralize the whole internet. Burst is atleast power efficient by mining files on your hdd, but they too want to create decentralized storage in the future. And to be honest i only see a future for coins with a purpose for all this computation power and hdd space.

Thanks for getting into magi. I'd tell you, magi's unique is not about the algo, at least not any more, but about the hybrid PoW/PoS-II, PoW design, and the PoS-II which gets accepted more or less now.

I won't reject new stuffs, but I am not yet fully confirmed by putting efforts into creating something new, standalone. Bitcoin and Peercoin are good enough; we basically don't need many other stuffs, what we need are to keep improvements by standing top of prior works, rather than creating new completely which is simply a waste. In that way, we can step into a more advanced system. If magi deserves some merits, I like to see people make use of those to advance forward further. Surely people can create completely new which is far beyond the bitcoin. Those "new" stuffs are exactly where scam coins are born. People like new, so scams just create new to feed people, is that about it?

And yeah, I don't yet look into these coins, so basically I can't argue much, will do some research.

Okay, somehow I won to use a few hours of 20 VPS of 32 core from Sema89, thank you very much

Here I would like to share my comparison of 10 VPS with XMG and 10 VPS with DSH. Why DSH? Because I found DSH is much profitable compared to BCN, XMR, etc.

XMG earned 0.00206036BTC and DSH earned 0.00056287BTC. Clearly state that XMG is ~3.66X profitable than DSH, even with difficulty increase on large hashrate. So the winner issssssssssssss Coin Magi 

and

P/S: Just edit the DSH profit because total mined with PPLNS is abit late from minergate.

its good that is big i was thinking to make 3D magi coin that way it will be easy to animate it and it will look better but if you dont have any vector i can make splines in illustrator over that picture you posted and import in cinema4d but it will take more time, i can make animations and adds but im not that fluent in english it would be great if someone join me and make text for ad in english with tehnical part of magi coin only short and simplified.

For crypto newbies, it could be interesting to see how some tasks are done, like installing the wallet, setting up the miner, how to buy / sell coins and so on. great ideas, educational movies are must for any coin to be on official website yet non coin have them i need to stop hashing with one machine and start instaling adobe mc on it ill do that tommorow. See you guys its late here or early in the morning

So how about changing that contest to something better. Why not making it a programming contest. A open source gui for mining magi, where you only need to input stuff an press run or the less you have to input the better. Prefering a gui where you only have to selekt stuff, like what pool, how many cores to use and so on. All the other stuff can happen in the background. You would get way more supporters for this coin as there are soooo few coins that have gui miners. After that you can care about marketing and getting it to the tech casual crowd.

In general, I agree with you. Magi is not made to only attract a few high hashrate miners, the opposite is the plan. We rather prefer 10,000 miners with 20 kh/s each than 10 with 20 MH/s. But to achieve this, we need more people than the ones already familiar with mining. And to attract them, it should be as user-friendly as possible.

Unfortunately, we lacking the most important thing to realize that now....time! It's on the todo-list and will be improved. We're working on user-friendly tutorials, websites and other stuff. But it takes some time until it's finished.

But that doesn't mean we would encourage the community to provide their skills (i.e. programming skills)  
If you want to contribute and have programming skills, contact Joe, 111magic or myself via PM. There are some ideas in our minds that wait for realization.
Even without a contest, I'm sure some donations will be yours.

I am not that skilled enough to realy help you, even though i want to. The most i could do was create a batch installer that installed a miner to a certain location and added a vbs script to the autostartfolder that runs the miner that was installed to run in the background on startup without any windows open. Time is my problem too right now. I am a student and i got some really important exams over the next 2 month with the next exam next friday(my time). I always wanted to be able to program in whatever language but never really got things going :/

And I tried 8 instances with -t 1 with same result.

@hefty turbo is of course enabled but I will try to disable power save mode (never had problems with it for other coins)

You did not say if the minerd.exe loading was applied over all processors, or just restricted to a small number of cores. Take a look at your CPU usage graphs. I am beginning to wonder if your operating system is compromised in some way, maybe a rootkit-style malware infection that is hiding itself from Task Manager but using CPU resources.

Wot? For Windows? Been there, done that. Got some improvements in the pipeline too. The story thus far:-

Download, run, extract to default location, run Setup.bat. Works on 32 bit and 64 bit, any processor. Not too difficult and my improvements will make it even easier. I don't think that any other coin community has anything like it.

Spexx's pack should be able to easy things out, once people take few minutes to follow / read instructions carefully; you only need to do it once.
