I am a customer of minersource that's how they have my info. Minersource must have also told them that I purchased Bitfury boards also. I cannot believe what an absolute shit show this is. Now minersource will not contact me via telephone to discuss this situation and will only talk via email. I am absolutely outraged, MS claims that they did not violate their TOS and I never placed an order with BA directly so I guess no one is responsible...

Edit: And to clarify I am no longer a customer of either. I have received refunds for all products that BA has manufactured and will not be spending money with either BA or MS again. My X-1's where paid in full on Dec 10th and I received my refund from MS on July 15th. The bitfury boards where ordered on May 20th and refunded in full soon after.

So minersource gives out customer names/addresses to a scummy company yet they act outraged when xbtec steals/buys an email list?

It's also sad that bobsag gave BA positive trust after this complete failure.

I've lost all respect for minersource in the past few weeks.

I have to agree about losing respect for MS. They are claiming that they did not violate the TOS by providing BA the information about my other orders I have placed. Even if they where required for some reason to give BA my name and address when I placed my x-1 orders how did they know about the other purchases that I made at MS? (bitfury boards shipped directly from MS)
And finally why do they feel the need to single me out and post my personal info here? I have been silent on the sidelines here for months, its time that changes.

Now BA is posting my personal info in my trust setting?
....

Regardless of your reasoning, that is -again- seriously out of order, petty and unprofessional blackarrow. Get your house in order and sort your act out.
Agreed that is just such an invasion of privacy and I'm sure it borders on criminal as well.

Well even if MS did not violate their ToS, unless you specifically agreed to them giving your info to 3rd parties, they're violating the law. ToS or no ToS, you can't just willy nilly give out personal and private information without consent (unless you're the NSA ofc). I won't even go into the legality of BA posting your details here, as BA is so far gone in terms of moving inside of legal boundaries, they probably don't care anymore at this point.

If you have legal insurence, rip em a new one, I heard the US law industry has some sort of repuation when it comes to litigating such things Wink

Do the handful of X3's supposedly shipped so far come with knee pads?

In the UK the Information Commissioners' Office (ICO) would take a very dim view of such action (and the ICO take very expensive bites), but I don't know if there's anything similar in the USA (or California in particular).

What a fucking shit show.... And of course still no correspondence between myself and MinerSource. Very professional way to run a company. Must be taking lessons from BA.

This whole situation infuriates me to no end and has gone well past the point of ridiculousness.

Oh and on top of it all I got notified this morning via email that BA has deleted one of my posts. Too busy to ship out/assemble miners but not busy enough to keep off of the internet. I hope their ship sinks into the fucking ground

I would like to see someone take legal action against these toddler engineers and management at black arrow. Perhaps that guy who is out 25k? Keep us posted.

I have no doubt that most people can take legal action or petition againsts BA just only with compromised support portal and customers email list.
Since, BA support portal has been compromised, I am sure that someone has access to customers' banking details etc as BA would request customers to provide banking information for refund purpose. This is a huge crisis and corporate negligence in online trading.

We also are not letting this go easily, I'm making sure of that. I would like to know why you think our support portal has been compromised and that people have access to banking details. If you have any proof of this I would greatly like to have it so I can add it to the investigation.

@terrapinflyer
I think you got singled out by BA because your negative trust feedback actually has teeth since you're on the default trust list, thus giving BA that red text under their name. I feel like you should check your legal options and perhaps get a subpeona from a court to force bitcointalk to remove your private information in your trust feedback.

I completely agree with you about my trust status and I have already contacted my lawyer. In the mean time BA has removed my negative  trust.

After several correspondence with minersource.net via email (they refused to call me) they have infomred me:

Your personal information was removed from the feedback you were referring too, and we have requested they delete your information from their records as you are no longer their customer.

It's borderline hillarious that BA doesn't have time to issue refunds since everyone is at the factory (to quote David), but they sure have time to delete posts en masse here.

BA, I'll give you one very valuable business advice, and I'm even doing it for free: If you find yourself stuck in a hole - stop digging.

I'll forward the entire issue around the sale of data to my lawyer next week and add it to the ever growing list of issues to bring up in court.

I resolved the support login issue by going through the password reset; at least that did work for me without a problem.  Begs the question as to why it was necessary though, it's disconcerting to say the least that my password had seemingly been changed without my knowledge.

So, I managed to create a ticket to ask about the ASIC exchange, because I want them to confirm the shipping date (they claim next day, but this doesn't seem likely) - one day later and no reply yet.  But again, they took the time to change the priority from High to Normal...
