how LONG of a delay for BAKKT would be needed for LOYCE's price to hit?
cause i can't believe if it would launch this month.... that in the next 17 days price would rally that hard

i would be a huge FAN if so (dailey 3-5K sticks)

30645  LoyceV   - That target is a yearly one if I ever saw it, so you are talking about the very last day possible for this contest.    The reason being we would not really be talking BTC at that point but destabilisation of dollar value.    The volatility to reach 30k in such a brief time would be gigantic, it would indicate high inaccuracy in pricing and a market which was extremely surprised by a result or occurrence in events.     High volatility is not especially considered a positive so in under a month I dont think so.    Dollar like sterling before it can decline in usage as a world currency, I dont wish for any of that but its quite a probable scenario but we're talking like a decade scenario and if that occurs BTC or various other alternatives could rise to this 30k pricing possibly.   Nobody knows, I'd hope BAKKT is part of that story but not sure.   My estimate was just a retrace guess.

Price has reset down as soon as I noted how positive it was acting, just cycling in a range for the moment I guess

The recent acquisition announcement has been made in the wake of the targeted date of the Bakkt’s launch, which was set for Jan. 24. However, Bakkt will be allegedly unable to launch on its targeting date due to the CFTC’s rule of a 30-day feedback period open to the general public on the proposal.

As the U.S. government is currently undergoing a record-breaking shutdown that began on Dec. 22, 2018, the CFTC has not been operating as usual, which could contribute to the potential delay.

The SEC has to make a final decision on the VanEck/SolidX bitcoin ETF by February 27 & the shutdown doesn't change that. The deadline cannot be extended. Bakkt is a different story: the CFTC does not have a firm deadline to finish its review, so Bakkt can be postponed forever.

It'll likely be pretty delayed though, despite Wall St really wanting in. That lot can fomo like the rest of us.

Who is LongHash? Doesn't seem very reputable considering no one I know seems to follow them. I'm skeptical about their April timeline because not even the CFTC would make that estimation, especially in the face of a continued government shutdown.

I'm sure the government shutdown does affect Bakkt though, they're right about that. The vast majority of CFTC employees are on furlough now, so there's no way the review is moving forward. Everyday the shutdown continues is a day Bakkt gets pushed back, basically.

They seem intent on moving forward though. I don't think they would have raised $182M in seed money recently or acquired customer accounts from this registered FCM if the launch weren't coming soon. February/March is my guess, depending on when the shutdown gets resolved.

I would have definitely wished for bakkt to actually be launched this month, but you should also know that you were betting on btc not to go above 4200$ in the entire duration of at least the next month or two.

I know Bakkt might not have that much effect on btc, but in the least I'd expect it to pump it a few hundred dollars. 4200$ is extremely low and can be overtaken by the smallest move

I support that, a sudden Spike is never out of question with BTC

And this game is a little bit related with thinking of BAKKT would have Some effect, but as well with is it possible another delay and Then another delay and.... it would even be reasonable to just PICK a price thought of what you think the highest price of 2019 could be, cause the game ends Then (and thats if BAKKT would keep delaying or something would happen and it doesn’t launch)

I dont know, if we are talking the bulk of bets on a higher price.   I thought that would require a far longer cooking time to really be feasible.    We can spike up of course always but I figured also the higher guesses would require Bitcoin to develop some, mull over the BAKKT potential development, the price possibly builds a little and also less selling as we reach exhaustion on that overhang from 2017.    Then Ontop of that you get the spike up, then I believe any of the guesses above 8 or 10k are actually reasonable.     My 6k guess was a just a compromise, maybe I should have aimed higher, dreamed bigger

1) They wont launch on 24th as they still dont have an aproval
2) Even if they launch - this wont affect price 

BAKKT is severelly over rated!
